FT: Thailand 0 Liverpool 3

Thanks for all your comments today folks! Don't forget, you can always follow me on Twitter: @RazMirza to send me your views so speak to you all soon!

Liverpool complete a comprehensive 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Philippe Coutinho, Iago Aspas and Steven Gerrard.

89
Thailand win a rare corner, but the inswinger by Prempak flies straight out of play.

88
OFF THE CROSSBAR!! Saying that, Steven Gerrard fires his shot straight at Hathairattanakool before his exquisite chip from the rebound strikes the woodwork.

86
Liverpool seem happy to play this game out for the final few minutes.

84
There was an injury delay, but we're back underway at the Rajamangala Stadium.

83
Martin Skrtel hasn't been on long but he's already drenched in sweat.

82
The sky has darkened over Bangkok, but the band keep playing. They haven't stopped all night.

@kieranphillips7 Tweets: "Liverpool are showing some great signs, outstanding football by the boys in red."

80
I will tell you that I have been impressed by their goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool and striker Teerasil Dangda today.

Thailand have sent on another three substitutes. They named about twenty on the bench for this match. I won't attempt to name them all for you!

Luis Alberto - signed from Sevilla has replaced Joe Allen for the final ten or so minutes.

77
A Luis Suarez free-kick strikes the wall and then moments later Joe Allen earns his side a corner.

75
Jordan Ibe - the 17-year-old from London - fires his right-foot shot into the side netting.

73
Fabio Borini is a talent and obviously Brendan Rogers likes something about him. He had him at Swansea before bringing him back to Premier League from Roma. He's not a goalscorer, but has other attributes in his game.

@HarryyDurrant Tweets: "Seems like finally Rodgers has sorted out transfer policy. Aspas, Alberto, Toure and Mignolet all quality. Still not sure on Borini."

72
SUPERB STOP! Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool makes a fine save to deny Jordan Henderson from scoring a fourth.

69
OFF THE CROSSBAR!! Steven Gerrard's inswinging delivery is headed against the woodwork by you know who! Yes, Luis Suarez very nearly gets his name on the scoresheet.

Anyway, Jordan Henderson and Martin Skrtel replace Kolo Toure and Philippe Coutinho as Brendan Rodgers makes more changes.

66
It's funny how Suarez was given a worship like ovation from the home fans. What would the reaction have been for him if the game was played at Anfield?

65
Jordan Henderson is the next Liverpool player warming up.

Liam Sumner says: "I reckon Liverpool will have an excellent season finishing in the top five at least. I think that Brendan has brought the right people in to win games and silverware."

Ed Jarman emails in to reply to an earlier message about Suarez and Bale: "Agreed... With bad boy vs good. But 50 million??? That's two bad boys scoring like Brad Pitt in a singles club. Suarez scores more in a third less of a season. Surely worth a third more??"

62
So, Luis Suarez is on the field and the striker is immediately involved. He received a wonderful ovation from the thai supporters.

61
Luis Suarez and Jordan Ibe replace Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini.

59
Joe Allen runs 50-yards before picking out Iago Aspas. With the goalkeeper rushing to his feet, the Spaniard picks out Gerrard who calmly dinks the ball over two players and into the empty net. What a lovely finish from the Reds skipper!

59
GOAL!!! STEVEN GERRARD

57
He settled in towards to end of last season Kieran if I recall. He could be a big game player for Liverpool this season. No doubt about that!

@kieranphillips7 is next to get in touch: "Phillipe Coutinho is outstanding, the premier league, has a new star."

@truelfcred Tweets: "Excellent pre-season so far. Scored 9 and conceded none. Coutinho, Sterling & Aspas the standout performers. Exciting times."

55
NO PEANLTY! The referee awards a goal-kick as Fabio Borini goes to ground in the area. There is a smile on the Italian striker's face as he gets to his feet.

53
Luis Suarez is on his feet and warming up. He receives a wonderful ovation from the Thail supporters.

52
I have been impressed by the way Philippe Coutinho has been controlling the game. The Brazilian is always looking for space and trying to unlock the door with some fine movement and incisive passing.

49
Iago Aspas doubles the lead for Liverpool thanks to a calm finish. A lovely pass from Coutinho is controlled beautifully by the 25-year-old signing from Celta Vigo before he turns and slides the ball into the back of the net.

49
GOAL!!! IAGO ASPAS

47
Philippe Coutinho's head is up and looking for options, but he is unable to find Iago Aspas.

@cholt22051978 Tweets: "cmon Liverpool be ruthless in front of goal show the premier league what we can do."

46
We're underway in the second half then. Humidity is over 90%, so you can understand why players dropped off the pace as the first half wore on.

1240
That may have something to do with his temperament Ed, don't you think? He does get into trouble quite often, while Bale is such a good boy.

Ed Jarman has a question: "Hi. Love the personality with the updates makes a refreshing change to some others. My question is... Why has Suarez got a price tag of about 50 million when Bale is possibly going for 100 million? Suarez scored more goals and had more assists? Makes no sense to me to sell him any less than the talk of Bale. Would anyone agree?"

Liam Sumner says: "I think Liverpool will win easily 4-0 with Coutinho scoring another along with Suarez and Alberto getting the others."

Marc Waghorn emails in to say: "Very excited about the new season, think we've made some excellent signings."

Liverpool lead at the break thanks to Philippe Coutinho's 17th minute goal.

44
Philippe Coutinho runs into his man and Thailan are awarded a free-kick.

43
Iago Aspas' cross is tipped away to safety by the busy Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool. The 31-year-old who has won 71 caps for this country has been a busy man in this first half, but he's done very well.

40
The pitch has cut up quite badly in the humid conditions in Bangkok. Many of the crowd are holding up their umbrellas to shield themselves from the sun.

38
Luis Suarez has been watching the action from the bench. Arsenal have been chasing the striker. A £40million plus £1 offer was put on the table before being turned down. Will Bredan Rodgers give him a run out in the second half I wonder?

36
The 24-year-old Mignolet has clearly settled into life at the Merseyside club.

35
Simon Mignolet dives at his near post to punch the ball away and then the new Liverpool No 1 makes a fine stop from the long-range shot which came through a crowd of players.

33
Thailand win a rare corner and the band are getting louder in the stadium, which is a sea of red.

Kieran Smith emails in to say: "Coutiniho is going to be such a good player. Will finish 4-0 and Suarez to score 2 with Borini with the other."

30
The heat will obviously have a say on the players as the games progresses. It's already down to walking pace at the Rajamangala Stadium.

28
Kiatisuk Senamuang is the Thai head coach. His nickname is 'Zico' after the great Brazilian. He scored an impressive 69 goals for the country between 1992 and 2007. A bit of a hero in this part of the world.

27
The No 10 has scored 28 national goals for Thailand and was once on the books of Manchester City. He is certainly one to watch!

26
CLOSE! Teerasil Dangda very nearly equalises for Thailand! The striker collects the ball on the edge of the box before lashing his left-foot shot inches wide of the far post.

23
Coutinho gets back to send the ball back to Simon Mignolet and Brendan Rodgers side can start from the back again.

22
Johnson attacks the corner, but Thailand pick up the ball as they look to counter.

21
Iago Aspas finds Glen Johnson and the full-back wins his side a corner.

19
Thailand's last game was against Lebanon and they lost 5-2. The way Liverpool have started this match Saroj, I think they may score more than five today!

Saroj says: "I think Liverpool FC will win game by 5-2. Good luck Liverpool."

17
Wonderful goal from the 21-year-old Brazilian. He steps inside Adul Lahso before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the area. The 60,000 strong crowd enjoyed that moment!

17
GOAL!!! PHILIPPE COUTINHO

15
Glen Johnson clips the ball in for Fabio Borini, but Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool makes a comfortable save.

13
Just seconds later, Philippe Coutinho attempts an acrobatic volley just inside the area, but he fails to make a firm connection. The Reds are completely dominating possession!

12
Liverpool win another corner as Italy's under 21 striker Fabio Borini looked to take the shot on.

10
Philippe Coutinho outswinger falls to Steven Gerrard, but his touch lets him down and Thailand get away with it.

9
The visit marks 10 years since the Reds were last in Bangkok, when Gerard Houllier's side ran out 3-1 winners over Thailand thanks to a brace from Vladimir Smicer and a goal from Emile Heskey.

7
CHANCE! Philippe Coutinho's attempted cross falls kindly to Iago Aspas, but his shot is deflected up and over the crossbar for a corner.

4
Fabio Borini gets in a decent cross, but Iago Aspas is unable to get on the end of it.

3
The stadium is all-red in the daytime heat of Bangkok. Liverpool are plauying in white, while the Thai national team are wearing red.

2
We've actually kicked-off five minutes earlier than the time billed.

1
We're underway in Bangkok then.

@Fred_McLean Tweets: "Borini one to watch after being over-hyped following U21 Euros. A few dreadful performances making LFC fans lose hope."

Morgan Churchill emails in to say: "Hi, I think that Liverpool will win 3-0. Good luck Liverpool!!!"

1130
Philippe Coutinho and Kolo Toure have both overcome knocks to start after missing the win against Melbourne Victory. Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure and Iago Aspas also start while Jordan Ibe and Raheem Sterling are on the bench. After this match the Reds take on Olympiacos, Valerenga and Celtic ahead of the new season on August 17. I'll give you the Thailand national side as soon I get them.

LIVERPOOL: Mignolet, Enrique, Agger, Toure, Johnson, Lucas, Allen, Gerrard, Coutinho, Aspas, Borini.

SUBSTITUTES: Jones, Skrtel, Kelly, Flanagan, Suarez, Spearing, Wisdom, Robinson, Henderson, Alberto, Downing, Sterling, Ibe, Coates, Assaidi, Ward.

1117
The big news is that wantaway striker Luis Suarez has been named on the Liverpool bench for the game. Full teams to come...
