The Pole was played in by Matt Derbyshire and goalkeeper Alan Marriott should have done better to deal with his 25-yard strike.

Derbyshire was denied a second by a stunning stop from Marriott, while Majewski could have added a second but he blazed over the crossbar.

Lee Stevenson had the ball in the net for the Stags but his effort was ruled out for offside.

The home side impressed in the second half but could not find an equaliser, sub Louis Briscoe crashing a shot against the woodwork.
