The defender has missed the opening two games of the season through injury but is available for the trip to McDiarmid Park.

Midfielders Richard Brittain and Ivan Sproule also return to the squad following suspension.

St Johnstone will be without goalkeeper Alan Mannus and midfielder Gary McDonald for the clash.

Mannus will be out for up to six weeks with a shoulder injury sustained in the goalless draw at Kilmarnock and will be replaced by Steve Banks between the sticks.

McDonald will also miss the visit of the Highlanders after suffering a head knock last weekend.
