West Brom will be without Anelka for the trip to Everton, with the striker having been given indefinite compassionate leave following the death of his agent Eric Manasse.

Winger Scott Sinclair, who has joined Albion on a season-long loan from Manchester City, could make his debut.

Defender Steven Reid is unavailable due to a knock, while midfielders Zoltan Gera and George Thorne (both knee) are not yet ready for selection after their injuries.

Defender Sylvain Distin is doubtful for Everton's Barclays Premier League clash with West Brom at Goodison Park after suffering a knock at Norwich last week.

Midfielder Darron Gibson, who picked up a knee injury during pre-season, is rated only 50-50 to return by manager Roberto Martinez.

Right-back Tony Hibbert (leg) is in contention after returning to training but fellow defender and new signing Antolin Alcaraz (hamstring) is still a fortnight away from fitness.
