Live: Bolton 0 QPR 1

Thanks for joining me for the early kick off in the Sky Bet Championship, where the final score is Bolton 0-1 QPR

So job done for QPR, but both sides could have had a couple more goals if they were clinical enough

There it is! QPR move top, at least for a while, on 10 points, whilst Bolton stay in 19th on two points

QPR win a free kick on the edge of their own area, and that should be that...

30 seconds for Bolton, but they haven't committed enough forward and Bogdan's long ball comes to nothing

Medo gives away a free kick 40 yards out, and QPR take their time before passing it into the corner

Great burst of pace by Traore down the left, but his pull back is dealt with just before Zamora could pull the trigger

QPR have another corner, which they are in no rush to take. Zamora gives away another goal kick though and Bolton have three minutes

QPR doing their best to hold on though, O'Neil and Zamora keeping it in the corner well for a bit before losing it

Five minutes of added time for Bolton to salvage this game and avoid consecutive defeats

As we close in on full time, there's still time to tweet or email me your thoughts on the game

Indeed he does. Yellow card for Onuoha

QPR take a corner short, but it's not kept well by Zamora and Bolton break. Onuoha fouls Davies as he looks to break and may earn himself a booking

Spearing has put in a brilliant effort today, and chases down Jenas on the break to halt him in his tracks

Bolton really dominating now as they hunt for an equaliser with time running out. They launch a ball into the box but Kniight's header loops well wide

The referee books Simpson for his troubles

Simpson has put in a poor tackle on Hall, and the defender could be in trouble here...

Getting shouted at by Zamora was Johnson's last act, with the striker going off for Jenas

Johnson has the ball on the right wing, but he didn't look up to see Zamora wide open down the middle! A crunching tackle saves Bolton though, and QPR look to make their third sub

So close! Hall flicks the ball through well to Davies, and his shot is parried well by Green! QPR clear the resulting corner and can break

Barton escaping a second yellow card after what looked like a cynical challenge, but replays show it wasn't too bad. A yellow would have been very harsh, not least because it would have been an early bath for the QPR man

Spearing and Medo have been excellent for Bolton today, and the two combine to earn Bolton a corner. QPR clear it well though

Another sub for QPR as Wright-Phillips goes off for Traore

Chung-Yong gets a bit of revenge on Barton by clattering into him, giving QPR a free kick on the halfway line

Bolton have fought their way back into the match in the last 10 minutes or so, but QPR are still holding firm and it seems like the score might not change in the next 15 minutes.

Hall has looked good in the few minutes since he came on, and supplied a good cross from the left after beating his man. Only one in the box for Bolton though, and he can't get to it

Davies tries a through ball to Chung-Yong, but he can't take it in his stride and the ball runs dead. That could have been the equaliser

Tierney has struggled on the left wing today for Bolton, and continues to do so as he loses the ball again to Simpson

Bolton make their third and final sub, Hall coming on for Ream

QPR change things up at the front, bringing on Zamora for the largely ineffective Austin

O'Neil takes the ball into the corner. Bit early for time-wasting? Apparently not as QPR have a corner

Wright-Phillips leads a QPR break, but Ream expertly wins the ball back. Moritz gets the ball back at the other end, but he drags his shot wide. Better from Bolton

The home side hoping a change in strikers means a change in fortunes. Nothing as of yet, although they just put together a good spell of passing football. Positive stuff for Bolton

Bolton make their second sub as Moritz comes on for N'Gog

Patient build up involving Chung-Yong, Spearing and Medo, but the latter's shot flies well wide of the post

Austin is set through on goal, but Bolton win a free kick after obstruction in the build-up by Johnson

Indeed, Beckford makes way for Davies as Bolton search for a goal

Speaking of which, it looks like Davies is coming on for Bolton

QPR starting to turn the screw a bit in the second half, looking for a second goal to really put them on their way to three points. Bolton may need to make a change soon to try something new in their search for the equaliser

Chung-Yong tries to release Beckford, but the striker has been struggling to get past the defence all afternoon and this time is no different

Tierney and Austin both receive bookings as a result of a mild fracas from a free kick

Wright-Phillips stumbles as he tries to take it past Knight. The QPR man is clutching his hamstring and moving slowly. Looks like he might carry on though

What do Bolton have to do to get back into this match now? Tweet or email me your thoughts

A good flowing move by QPR! Wright-Phillips gives it to Hill, who plays a neat one-two with Austin. Hill squares it to Johnson who finishes high into the Bolton net. 1-0!

N'Gog tried to hold it up, but loses out and he looks injured... He's got up, but moving quite gingerly. We could soon be seeing the first sub of the game

Bolton break with Spearing, whose pass releases Beckford down the right... His cross is met by Chung-Yong, but he can only lift it over the bar under pressure

Spearing tries to drill the 30 yard free kick... Wheater gets a flick, but Green holds well under pressure

Henry is booked for his tackle on Chung-Yong

Johnson tries to hold it up but loses out to Ream. He plays a good ball to Chung-Yong, who is tackled from behind by Henry

Bolton, more specifically Bogdan, still trying the long ball, but N'Gog and Beckford are struggling in the air against the QPR defenders

Another comfortable catch for Green after a poor cross by Medo. But he's thrown it straight out and Bolton have it back

QPR looking to pass it around a bit more here and build from the back. Or they were until they passed it out of play

QPR get us underway, still 0-0. No half time subs for either side

The sides re-emerging for the second half. Lets hope for a bit more goal action in the next 45 minutes

After both sides scored in the first half in their opening two games this season, this is now their second game in a row where they've failed to find the net in the first 45 minutes.

Ben on Twitter: QPR looking sharp but need a breakthrough! Need more pushing up the field! #QPRFC

Marky on Twitter: hope QPR bag a few goals in the second half! Need to get my accumulator off to a winning start!

Both sides have had 4 shots on goal in the first half, but QPR dominating possession with 60%. Of course, none of that means a lot until the 'goals' stat changes

Chris on Twitter: Bolton need to step it up in the 2nd half, if they want promotion they need to be more convincing against sides like QPR #bwfc

Philip on Twitter: Hope Joey Barton can keep his temper under control today, QPR need his quality to win this one

Not looking likely at the moment, Matt! Remember, tweet me @tinyliney or email me at

Matt via email: I need to start my goals galore bet of early with this game so let's play some good football and get some goals please

Nothing particularly of note to speak of, except Medo's rasping drive that hit the post. Aside from that, neither keeper has had a lot to do outside of catching crosses and taking goal kicks

Half-time here, it's still 0-0. And that's the way it'll stay for the next 15 minutes or so...

One minute of added time here. A goal for either side would do wonders for them right now, but I can't see it happening

QPR's confidence is growing by the second, they won't want half time to come at this rate. They still can't find the end product though and Bolton hold on

Bolton are kind enough to give QPR the ball straight back, but a cross is held by Bogdan and Bolton have it back again

QPR pulling the home side one way and then the other, desperate to find the breakthrough before half time. But an awful pass gifts Bolton the ball back, who can try have some possession of their own

But the cross is too close to Green and he takes well under pressure

Bolton haven't seen a lot of the ball in the last 10 minutes or so, but they have a corner. To be taken by Ream

Simpson has all the space in the world to run in to, but his cross is well cleared by Wheater. QPR work it out to the other flank, but Wright-Phillips' cross floats miles over

QPR upping the pressure now, creating some good chances. If they can find a finish, Bolton will be in real trouble

Wright-Phillips is released down the left again, and his cross towards Austin is well cleared by Wheater, at the expense of his personal welfare. He seems ok though

Johnson takes a clever flick through in his stride, and pulls it back to Austin! But he can't get enough on the shot and Bolton clear

Austin is released down the left and his pull back is deflected to Barton on the edge of the area... But he horribly miscues his shot and it rolls harmlessly wide

Medo gets the ball 25 yards out... hits it. Hits the post!! What a save by Green! He leapt to his right and just got a hand on it to tip it on to the post! Closest we've come to a goal

Spearing with a big tackle on Simpson! The midfielder wasn't happy that the QPR man had won the ball, and flew in to win a throw-in

Bolton break, but Beckford's through ball is cut out well by the defence. Both sides still looking for the way through

Austin tries an ambitious 30 yard attempt.. and it flies just over the crossbar via a deflection! Corner comes to nothing though

QPR have a free kick 40 yards out. Chance for them to load some players in the box. But Barton takes it quickly and slides it through to Johnson! His pass is just overhit though and Bogdan gathers

Bolton looking to try and play it around the midfield, with Spearing the main man involved. They still can't break the defence down, but look more like scoring than QPR

Corner comes to nothing and QPR break through Wright-Phillips. He works it back to Barton but his shot is saved by Bogdan, despite bouncing just in front of him

Spearing with a free kick on edge of the box... Well tipped over by Green!

Barton given a yellow card for an elbow to the head of Chung-Yong as they went up for a header

Some big tackles starting to fly in now. First Medo, then Barton. Neither team looking clinical enough to trouble the goalkeepers though

Tierney once again given room to run, but his cross is again woeful and QPR get the ball back

Bolton looking very confident in midfield. They work it wide to Tierney, but his cross drops straight into the arms of Green

Spearing tries a 60-yard pass to former Liverpool teammate N'Gog, but he just can't reach it. Great attempt though

QPR have a corner... defended by Bolton but Barton can have another go... straight into Bogdan's arms

An awful back-pass by Barton releases Beckford through! Oh but he's dragged his shot yards wide. Should have done better

Hill is released down the left... plays a great ball across the box, but Johnson is inches away and Bogdan claims it well. That was close

Joey Barton, currently sporting an Alice band, trying to get his team fired up

Good midfield play from Bolton, but Medo's ball to Baptiste is well defended by Wright-Phillips

Beckford drops a shoulder and cuts inside, but his left-footed shot is dragged yards wide

Simpson plays Johnson through! Oh but the striker is just offside, good line from the home team

Dunne is booked for his tackle on Beckford

They try to play it short but Bolton break through Beckford... But is stopped by a nasty tackle from Dunne

Good hold up play from Johnson earns QPR a free kick. They work the ball into the box and Knight chests it out. Another Barton corner

Another corner, this time Spearing takes. But it's headed away and Bolton play it back to Bogdan

Tried to curl it into the top corner, but the wall did the job and Bolton have a corner, to be taken by Ream

Chung-Yong has been upended 25 yards out after a good run by the Bolton man. Spearing to take the free kick

Barton to take again... nothing from it but QPR have a throw, which is well defended again

Early corner for QPR... taken by Barton... well defended by Bolton, but it's another corner

Given away by QPR in their own defensive third... but N'Gog can't find the pass and it rolls through to Green in the Rangers goal

QPR attack comes to nothing, but Bogdan launches the resulting goal kick straight out of play

Bolton get us underway, but immediately lose it in midfield

Bolton lining up in a 4-4-2 diamond, with American Tim Ream in defensive midfield. QPR look to be in a regular 4-4-2

Just a few minutes till kick-off. The teams are making their way on to the pitch, Bolton in their usual white kit, QPR in green with yellow hoops

Milan Susilovic via email: Bolton without Pratley and Eagles are bad. Bolton play bad soccer, they skip over midfield with the ball in the air. So QPR, Harry R., Wright, Austin, Johnson...I expect domination by QPR!!!

Remember to keep the tweets and emails coming in! Whether you support either side or you're a neutral, keep 'em coming

The teams are currently out warming up, and the Reebok is slowly filling up

In 1969, Bolton won this fixture 6-4. Wouldn't mind another 10-goal thriller today!!

Lofthouse also represented England 33 times, scoring 30 goals, giving the striker one of the best goal-to-game ratios in England history. Not bad!

This morning marked the unveiling of the Nat Lofthouse statue outside The Reebok Stadium. Lofthouse was one of Bolton's greatest servants, scoring 255 goals in 14 years at the club

Sam Wallace on Twitter: Difficult game and Bolton are a strong side. Hoping for 3 points and Charlie Austin to score! Ur's!! #QPR

QPR flying in 5th place in the Sky Bet Championship after two wins and a draw this season, and are looking to extend their unbeaten streak this lunchtime

Bolton still chasing their first victory of the season after two 1-1 draws and a 3-0 loss so far this season.

History certainly favours the home side. Bolton have won 9 of the 13 home clashes between the two sides. and haven't lost in this fixture since 1998

Matty on Twitter says: Late for the game cause of trains but I think a #bwfc 1-0 win #COYWM

QPR's bench: Murphy, Troare, Suk-Young, Jenas, Zamora, Hitchcock, Faurlin

Chelsea Millions Should Buy Better...

For the money they have spent, Chelsea should be playing like the Harlem Globetrotters rather than Atletico. We have mails on Cesc, Brendan Rodgers and...

Brendan Rodgers Is David Cameron...

Rodgers is compared to the Prime Minister, insomuch as he has a right to peddle bulls**t, apparently. Plus why comparing Arsene Wenger to Diego Simeone is a mug's game...
