Bradford pair Mark Yeates and James Hanson are both injury doubts for the derby clash.

Winger Yeates (knee) is battling to be fit to face his former club following a recent injection and striker Hanson is nursing a sore hand after fracturing a bone last week during training.

Manager Phil Parkinson said: "James's hand is getting better all the time, we'll see how he feels about it nearer the time and Mark trained on Thursday. We shall have to see."

Otherwise, Parkinson is unlikely to make too many changes, if any, from the side that lost at Port Vale last week, with Kyle Reid and Raffaele De Vita pushing for recalls.

Sheffield United manager David Weir will pick his starting XI for the derby clash at Bradford from an unchanged squad.

Weir has no new injury or suspension worries as the Blades chase their second league win of the season and could hand an extended run in the side to defender Sean McGinty, who made his debut at left-back in last week's home draw with Colchester.

Tony McMahon made his first appearance of the season last week following a succession of injuries and is expected to retain his place at right-back.

Callum McFadzean filled the void left by recently departed playmaker Kevin McDonald against Colchester and is hoping to continue, while striker Chris Porter and Stephen McGinn are pushing for recalls.
