City make two changes from the side that so comprehensively beat United last weekend, with James Milner and Edin Dzeko coming in to replace Jesus Navas and Sergio Aguero. Kompany and Nastasic anchor the defence, with a midfield four of Nasri, Fernandinho, Toure and Milner, while Dzeko and Negredo will be leading the line.

Team news for Villa; only Kozak, Vlaar, Baker, Bacuna, Sylla and El Ahmadi survive from the side that lost to Spurs in midweek, with Clark, Weimann, Luna, Delph and Guzan coming into the starting line-up, while there is no place for Agbonlahor in the side today. Benteke, of course, not in action as he recovers from his hip injury.

Aston Villa are rated at 6/1 to beat Manchester City today according to our friends at Sky Bet, with The Citizens at 1/1 to emerge victorious, while it is 3/1 for the match to end in a draw. Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo are both 9/2 to score first and 7/1 to secure a brace, with Libor Kozak at 3/1 to net in the 90 minutes.

City, meanwhile, have won their last three matches in all competitions, scoring 12 goals along the way, and moved up to third spot in the Premier League standings following a 4-1 hammering of cross-town rivals Manchester United last weekend.

Villa have been in inconsistent form of late and come into the game in 13th position in the league, needing a good showing following a 4-0 midweek defeat to Tottenham. Manager Paul Lambert welcomes back Gabriel Agbonlahor, Fabian Delph, Ciaran Clark and Antonio Luna, all of whom missed Wednesday's defeat to Spurs.

Good afternoon, I'm Chris Vermeulen and I'll be taking you through all the action as Aston Villa host Manchester City at Villa. Kick-off is scheduled for 1500 BST.
