Palace (11/1) are friendless ahead of their trip to Anfield. Liverpool are 1/5 and for good reason and most punters in the country have them in their Saturday afternoon acca. But Palace have proved something of a bogey team for the Reds over the years with Liverpool winning only one of their five encounters in all competitions. Despite that a 3-0 victory for the hosts is one of the most popular bets of the day at 11/2.
Palace, meanwhile, have only got the win this season, coincidentally also a 3-1 win over Sunderland, and are languishing second from bottom in the league table. Manager Ian Holloway will be looking to stop the rot and halt a three-match losing streak at Anfield this weekend.
The Reds have made a good start to the Barclays Premier League campaign, having lost just one of their opening six fixtures, drawing one and winning the other four, leaving them in second place in the standings, two points behind leaders Arsenal.
