Veteran goalkeeper Brian Jensen is expected to start for Bury when they host Newport.

Trevor Carson has joined Portsmouth on loan so Jensen will take over in goal on Saturday as Rob Lainton (shoulder) is another month away from fitness.

Defender Jordan Mustoe is in contention to make his debut after arriving on-loan from Wigan in midweek.

Meanwhile, Marlon Jackson (knock) and Ashley Grimes (knee) are back in training but remain doubtful, while Tope Obadeyi (groin) could return.

Exiles boss Justin Edinburgh has Lee Minshull available again as he looks to celebrate his new deal with three points at Bury.

The former Spurs defender, who penned a contraction extension on Thursday, taking him through until the summer of 2016, is likely to involve Minshull in the squad after he finished his three-match ban.

The Exiles' small squad has been stretched to the limit in recent weeks and they were only able to name five substitutes for the victory over Torquay. Ryan Burge (knock) will be assessed this week while Aaron O'Connor has suffered a setback with his groin injury.

Danny Crow was given a rare chance to start against the Gulls and after a goalscoring display he will hope to keep his place.
