The Brewers will be without the suspended Jimmy Phillips when they host the Stags.

Phillips was sent off in injury time against Bristol Rovers on Saturday and the winger will serve a one-match ban against the Stags.

A change in goal will also be necessary for Albion as Sunderland have recalled Jordan Pickford from his loan spell with the League Two side, so Dean Lyness will be between the posts on Tuesday night.

Michael Symes and Rory Delap missed the 1-0 win over Rovers and both players are set to remain on the sidelines. Striker Symes sustained a groin injury during the 2-0 defeat at Dagenham nine days ago while former Derby and Stoke midfielder Delap has ongoing hamstring issues.

Mansfield will check on Lee Beevers and Lee Stevenson ahead of the trip to Burton.

Defender Beevers and midfielder Stevenson and were both substituted as a precautionary measure during Saturday's 5-4 defeat to Fleetwood. Beevers was replaced on the hour-mark at Highbury before Stevenson was taken off just seven minutes later.

"Beevs wasn't feeling too well at half-time so we gave him 10 or 15 minutes, but we had to take him off," said Stags boss Paul Cox. "Stevo took a knock on the ankle. We'll assess them and see where we go from there."

Midfielder Jamie McGuire will serve the second game of a three-match suspension. James Alabi's three-game ban is now over, but so is his month-long loan spell and the young striker has returned to parent-club Stoke.
