The Posh will be without suspended top scorer Britt Assombalonga when they host fellow League One promotion hopefuls Wolves.

Assombalonga, who has netted 11 times so far this season, received his fifth yellow card of the campaign during the defeat at Brentford on Tuesday night and will serve a one-match ban against the league leaders.

Another blow for Posh ahead of the game has seen skipper Tommy Rowe sidelined for the remainder of 2013 after undergoing a knee operation this week.

Nathaniel Knight-Percival is fit again and comes back into the reckoning but fellow defender Craig Alcock (calf) and midfielders Danny Kearns and Joe Newell (thigh) remain out. Kane Ferdinand has been recalled from his loan spell at Northampton and the midfielder should go into the squad for Saturday.

James Henry is Wolves' only absentee for their trip to out-of-sorts promotion rivals Peterborough.

Winger Henry has sat out of Wanderers' last three matches with a groin injury and continues to remain sidelined ahead of the encounter at London Road.

The latest of those games was Tuesday's 2-0 success over Tranmere and head coach Kenny Jackett could well decide to keep faith with a winning line-up following an impressive display.

Victory moved Wolves back to the top of League One - 11 points ahead of fifth-placed Posh, who have slumped down the table having lost their previous five league matches.

James Milner: Jose's Perfect Player?

Probably. But presumably he would not swap one bench for another. We have mails on over-hyped players, Arsenal enthusiasm, UEFA, FIFA and naked dudes...

Francis Is Coq Of The North (London)

There is more praise for Mesut Ozil, but it's Francis Coquelin who gets the big love in the Mails. Plus Lazio, Wilshere swears (who cares?) and an over-capped England...
