All square at the end of the game. A very hard fought draw, and Southampton will feel they deserved more than just a point from the game.

Southampton with a good cross into the box, but it's just a bit too high for Lambert. Pantilimon gathers.

The game is becoming much more open in the late stages. Both sides desperate for the winning goal.

Lovren does well to prevent a cross from Navas with a good tackle.

Rodriguez caught offside, yet another good delivery from Ward-Prowse.

Zabaleta with a foul on Rodriguez, but the referee awards a throw.

City win possession in a dangerous area as Southampton try and play the ball out from the back.

Rodriguez fires a close-range effort over the bar from a terrific Ward-Prowse cross.

Ward-Prowse with another good delivery, but Pantilimon gathers easily.

Nasri goes into the referee's book for a late challenge on Davis.

Saints look to hit on the counter, but Cork's ball forward is a bit wayward.

Aguero and Kolarov connect well down the left-hand side, but the latter's effort hits the side netting at the near post.

Both sides seeing a fair share of the ball here in the second half.

A lovely delivery from Ward-Prowse, but two Saints players are caught offside.

Kolarov clips Lallana on the counter attack to give away a free kick in a dangerous area.

Lovren back on the pitch, but he's moving very gingerly.

Doesn't look to good for Lovren as he limps off the pitch.

Ward-Prowse with a screaming effort from distance, but it's well over the bar.

Aguero makes a good run on goal as the Saints defender back off, but he is unable to guide his shot on target.

All Saints at the moment, but City do look dangerous on the counter.

Osvaldo beats the offside trap thanks to a lovely dinked ball over the top by Lallana. City to well to clear for a corner, though.

Southampton trying to play the ball out from the back and Aguero gives away a free kick for a foul on Fonte.

Double change for City: Navas comes on for Negredo, while Garcia replaced Milner.

City with another good attack on goal, Saints get it clear.

A nearly moment for Saints, as Pantilimon just about parries Rodriguez's close-range effort before Osvaldo blazes a first-time effort over the bar.

Yaya Toure curls an effort just wide of the far post after the Saints struggled to get the ball clear.

Nasri blasts a ball high at the near post. It remains in play with Zabaleta at the far end, but Fonte gets the cross clear.

City with the ball in midfield.

Now Saints' turn for dangerous living as Fonte just about clears the ball away from Nasri.

City living dangerously as Demichelis tests Pantilimon's footwork with a backpass.

City get us underway for the second half...

All square at St Mary's. City ruthless with the opening goal, but overshadowed by a wonderfully taken Osvaldo strike.

A good attacking move from City, but Nasri can't keep his shot down at the far post.

The linesman shows just a minute added on at the end of the half.

Southampton looking for another as they build from the back.

GOAL! Osvaldo with an absolutely brilliant goal. He dummies the defender before brilliantly curling the ball over Pantilimon.

The crowd responds angrily as Zabaleta appears to handle the ball on the ground.

Aguero just loses out in the box to Fonte/

Another City attack comes to nothing.

Ward-Prowse with a shot from distance Pantilimon with an easy save.

A great delivery from Shaw into the box, but Chambers is the only one who attacks it. His header, though, is wide.

Southampton pressing City really well, the visitors struggling to get out of their own half.

Aguero looks to go through on goal, but takes his shot a bit too early and Gazzaniga gathers easily.

The win yet another corner as Fonte puts a terrific cross into the box. Fernandinho the one to get it clear. Shaw then with a dangerous ball across the box, but no one is able to get on the end of it.

Another won as Lallana fails to control a long ball in the box and City scramble the ball for a corner.

Nervous moments for City as Rodriguez charges into the box, but Pontilimon is able to gather the England international's ball back into the box.

Another good attack from City. Zabaleta cuts the ball back to Aguero, but he can't take his chance this time as he blazes his shot over the bar.

City forced to pass it all the way back to the goalkeeper.

Cork forces a save from Pantilimon with a shot from distance.

Southampton piling on the pressure a bit. They nearly get a chance, but the ball is cleared.

City looking to attack once more, but Southampton hold strong at the back.

Saints with possession at the back.

Osvaldo caught offside as Southampton try to launch the ball back into the box.

Ward-Prowse takes the resulting corner, which is easily claimed by Pantilimon.

He does, and wins a corner as it's deflected over by the wall.

Saints free kick after a clumsy Yaya Toure foul. Ward-Prowse to take.

City with another good move, but Negredo is forced to pass back after running down a cul-de-sac.

Saints corner. Ward-Prowse takes it, but Fonte doesn't get the right connection on his header and it goes out for a goal kick.

Southampton try to launch a counter-attack, but the move rather peters out with the ball at Rodriguez's feet.

City rush forward in attack, but Zabaleta's cross is cleared.

Just a bit of a lull in play. City with a throw in.

City free-kick. Nasri takes it, but Milner miscues his effort.

That said, City passing the ball around midfield at the moment.

City look comfortable allowing Southampton to have the ball and try and hit them on the counter-attack.

City get a cornes after another good attacking move, Negredo's miscued header falls to Zabaleta, whose shot is deflected wide.

Southampton with a good spell of possession.

At the other end Lallana is called for a handball as he tries to control a long ball forward.

Goal! Aguero put City ahead with a decent first-time finish after a good ball into the box from Kolarov.

Lallana finds Osvaldo in the box, but the ball gets away from him as he tries to take it in his stride.

Man City with a corner. The ball falls to Fernandinho on the edge of the area, but his shot is cleared.

Davis with a shot wide of the post after Lallana's header down.

Negredo breaks free of the defence thanks to a clever ball from Aguero, but his first touch lets him down and Gazzaniga gathers easily.

Both teams pressing really well, there have been a few turnovers so far.

An Aguero shot goes wide of goal, goal kick gets Southampton back on the offensive.

Negredo nearly goes through on goal, but the ball is cut out just as the Spaniard is about to pull the trigger.

Southampton with a good attacking move, but Demichelis comes across to stop the move. The Saints keep the ball.

Will be interesting to see if City have finally got over their away woes, Victor, but Southampton have been struggling of late.

Victor: "Going for a 3-1 win Man City today, can't see much pace without navas but if Aguero's form is anything to go by then it should be a certain win."

Southampton are rated at 4/1 to beat Manchester City today according to our friends at Sky Bet, with the Citizens at 7/5 to emerge victorious, while it is 14/5 for the match to end in a draw. Rickie Lambert is at 15/2 to score first and 12/1 to secure a brace, with Sergio Aguero at 10/11 to net in the 90 minutes.
