The Premier League leaders have been beaten! A sumptuous goal by Fabian Delph helped Aston Villa beat NINE-MAN Chelsea 1-0 who also had manager Jose Mourinho sent to the stands.

RAMIRES is shown a straight red card for a disgraceful chellenge on Karim El Ahmadi.

90+2
OFF THE CROSSBAR!! Ashley Westwood sets Fabian Delph on his bike again but his deflected effort cannons off the crossbar and out for a corner.<

90+1
We're into FOUR added minutes at Villa Park.

Ramires is shown a yellow card by referee Chris Foy as we enter stoppage time.

89
Christian Benteke, who has scored in two of his three Premier League appearances against Chelsea, tests Petr Cech from range.

88
Delph decides to play a crossfield pass and then Villa pass the ball about at the back.

86
Villa are playing percentage football now as they look to run down the clock.

85
Villa have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven home Premier League matches. Can they hold on?

84
Villa have not won back-to-back Premier League home matches since August 2011 - 69 games ago!

82
WHAT A GOAL!!! It's all gone wrong for Chelsea. Willian has been sent-off and they're now a goal down and what a goal! Fabian Delph makes a surging run through the middle before picking out Marc Albrighton down the left. The substitutes' return ball is flicked into the far corner thanks to some sublime improvisation by the midfield man and we're on course for a major upset at Villa Park.

FABIAN DELPH

82
SO CLOSE! Ron Vlaar gets above Branislav Ivanovic but is just unable to keep his header down from the resulting corner.

81
Nemanja Matic is penalised for bringing down Andreas Weimann. The ball into the box is well defended.

80
Since Chelsea have gone down to 10-men, they've had 63 per cent of possession.

79
Eden Hazard either looks to find the far stick or pick out Demba Ba. he does neither and Villa are let off the hook.

Ciaran Clark comes on for Joe Bennett just before the free-kick is about to be taken.

Ron Vlaar is shown a yellow card for hacking down substitute Andre Schurrle on the edge of the area.

76
Fabian Delph opens up the angle ahead of him but his low curler is always wide of the mark. A poor attempt!

OPTA STAT
There have been three red cards given in the last two Premier League meetings between Chelsea and Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Marc Albrighton comes on for Gabby Agbonlahor in a like-for-like change for the hosts.

73
Leandro Bacuna's deflected effort travels out for a corner to Villa.

72
Ramires goes to ground, but nothing is given and suddenly it's the Blues who are looking stronger.

71
The sending off seems to have unsettled Villa more than Chelsea.

70
Fabian Delph used his body well, but was it really worthy of a second yellow card? I doubt it! A very harsh decision against Chelsea. Can Villa take advantage?

WILLIAN pulls Fabian Delph down to the ground and is shown a second yellow card by Chris Foy. Chelsea are down to 10 men!

Christian Benteke is shown a yellow card by referee Chris Foy for bringing down Ramires.

It's a double Chelsea change. Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba replace Oscar and Fernando Torres.

65
JUST WIDE! Andreas Weimann's pull-back is fired just wide of the far post by Christian Benteke.

63
Chelsea have conceded just 22 goals this season, the fewest in the Premier League. They don't look like a side that are going to let in one this evening either.

61
Oscar tries to slide his attempted effort beyond Brad Guzan but the goalkeeper is alert to the danger and makes an easy save in the end.

59
Leandro Bacuna loses the ball under his feet before needlessly bringing down Cesar Azpilicueta.

57
Chelsea are enjoying 70 per cent of possession as they look to turn the heat up on Villa. The hosts will be happy with the way things are going, despite failing to trouble the Blues' backline.

56
It's been a game off offside decisions. At the other end of the field Willian is caught making his run a little too soon.

55
Christian Benteke's touch from Leandro Bacuna's cross is a beauty, but the flag is raised on the far side again.

54
Paul Lambert and Jose Mourinho share a joke on the touchline as Villa come forward now.

53
The side from west London are starting to dominate possession which is a worry for Villa boss Paul Lambert.

51
Branislav Ivanovic's vicious ball into the box causes all sorts of problems. Eden Hazard's low cross is then defelcted towards goal by Karim El Ahmadi but Brad Guzan shows good reactions to keep the it out.

49
Christian Benteke holds off Gary Cahill and earns his side a free-kick on halfway. The delivery into the box is headed away and the Blues look to counter.

48
Portuguese coach Mourinho is taking charge of his 150th Premier League game against Villa and despite Chelsea having won the last four league clashes with their opponents, racking up 16 goals in the process, he has said a point "would not be too bad". They're on course for that today, but there is still a long way to go.

47
Ramires earns Chelsea an early second half corner and Willian's ball in to the box is just about cleared to safety.

46
The Blues have not lost at Villa Park since October 2009, when James Collins grabbed the winner in a 2-1 home victory. Chelsea have the chance of securing a place in the Champions League quarter-finals if they beat Galatasaray at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of their last 16 tie, which is poised at 1-1 on Tuesday night before hosting Arsenal next weekend. There have been no changes at the break as we get underway again.

Aston Villa are 13/2 to claim victory with our friends @Skybet, who make Chelsea 8/13 and the draw 7/4. Frank Lampard has scored 13 goals against Villa - more than any other opponent in Premier League history and he is 7/1 to score the opening goal and 12/5 to score anytime should he come on. Christian Benteke has scored in two of his three league clashes with the visitors. He is now 12/1 to open the scoring. I'm still going for Chelsea to win 2-1 this tea-time clash. That scoreline was priced at 7/1 and is now 14/1. Head now to SKYBET to place your bets on this match.

Villa boss Paul Lambert will be encouraged by his side's display in an opening 45 minutes which saw a controversial decision go Villa's way. Willian's corner kick found Nemanja Matic at the back post and although the Serb tucked his effort away with ease the player was adjudged to have handled the ball before scoring. Referee Chris Foy initially pointed to the centre circle, but the assistant's flag had already been raised on the far side and it was quickly disallowed. Other than that, neither goalkeeper has been tested.

45
We're into TWO added minutes of stoppage time at Villa Park. The resulting free-kick by Oscar is easily saved by Brad Guzan.

Joe Bennett is booked for hacking down Ramires with the Chelsea player looking to break clean through. Jose Mourinho wanted red but with Ron Vlaar close by, referee Chris Foy decided on yellow.

43
Fernando Torres cuts inside but sees his strike well blocked by a number of Villa players that has surrounded him.

41
NO GOAL! Referee Chris Foy disallows Nemanja Matic's goal at the far post from a Chelsea corner. The ball in from Willian bounced up off the Serb's arm before he slotted home. Foy had actually given the goal but it was his assistant on the far side that gave the all-important decision.

39
GOOD EFFORT! Christian Benteke shows super technique to fire his spectacular bicycle kick wide of the far post. His confidence is sky high!

37
Nemanja Matic is doing a good job on stopping Christian Benteke from winning the first ball. The striker is spoken to by referee Chris Foy after losing his temper.

36
Torres blazes his right-footer high, wide and handsome from a tight angle.

35
Ramires' cultured pass looks for Fernando Torres at the back post but young Joe Bennett deals with the danger like a consummate professional.

33
Oscar's clever pass to Eden Hazard is a beauty, but the flag goes up on the far side to bring a stop to that move.

32
Villa have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 Premier League meetings with Chelsea dating back to 2007. That one was a scoreless draw at Villa Park in October 2010. They have defended pretty solid so far today with Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker working well together in central defence.

30
Eden Hazard is unable to get his arm out of the way and referee Chris Foy pulls him up on it straight away.

29
Fernando Torres' cross after being played onside is well cleared by an alert Fabian Delph.

27
It's the first corner of the game, but it comes to nothing as Christian Benteke pushes Gary Cahill in his back attempting to climb for the ball.

26
Gabby Agbonlahor wins Villa the corner after playing his attempted cross against Cesar Azpilicueta.

Willian gets a caution after a sliding challenge which takes out Karim El Ahmadi. Both teams have now picked up an early booking.

23
Neither goalkeeper has been called into action as we approach the halfway mark in the opening period.

22
Villa have recorded just one win in their last nine games against the Blues, a 3-1 victory at Stamford Bridge on New Year's Eve 2011. They're doing pretty well so far today and are looking a lot more solid than they have done in previous matches.

20
Leandro Bacuna wins his side a goal-kick after cleverly playing the ball off Cesar Azpilicueta.

19
Suddenly Villa are enjoying a good spell of possession. Gabby Agbonlahor's snap-shot is well blocked.

17
JUST WIDE! Willian's touch sets up Oscar on the edge of the area and the Brazilian's right-foot curler flies inches wide of Brad Guzan's far post. What a fine effort that was!

15
BAD CALL! Fernando Torres' run through the middle looks good, but the flag immediately goes up on the far side. Replays show that the Spaniard was actually being played onside by Ron Vlaar.

14
Chelsea players back away from Karim El Ahmadi who takes on the strike from 30 yard, but it was always rising above the crossbar.

13
Willian shifts the ball away from Karim El Ahmadi before seeing his shot travel into the side netting with Brad Guzan scrambling across his goal.

12
Oscar's cross from the right fails to pick out Fernando Torres in the middle. Chelsea seem to be turning the screw here!

10
Willian's deflected curler travels out for a goal-kick. At the other end Fabian Delph's deep cross is aimed at Christian Benteke. However, Gary Cahill deals with the big man.

9
Bacuna looks to find Andreas Weimann's run in the middle but across comes John Terry to put the forward off and Petr Cech gets Chelsea on the attack with a quick throw.

8
Leandro Bacuna has already made a couple of solid challenges for Villa as the Dutchman looks to get his side going.

Brian Mc says: "Chelsea always seem to do well against the Villains but I can't see it being the same this time. A wins needed to stay nine points clear of Man City. 3-1 Chelsea - Terry, Hazard, and Torres! COME ON CHELSEA!! "

6
Nathan Baker collects an early booking from referee Chris Foy after sliding in on Fernando Torres.

5
Chelsea have started confidently as you might have expected and are keeping the ball well. Excellent ball retention! They are unbeaten in their last six Premier League away games, keeping four clean sheets and conceding just two goals (W4 D2).

4
Willian is back on the field and back in possession. He looks for the run of the fit again Fernando Torres, but out comes Brad Guzan to claim the ball.

Jordan Reeks from Newcastle mails in to say: "Sharp performance from chelsea today. 3-1 Chelsea, Torres and a Hazard double. Benteke with a consolation for Villa."

2
Chelsea have won three straight Premier League matches and are currently unbeaten in their last 14 league matches - the longest run in the division. They've won 11 of those 14 matches going back to a 3-2 defeat at Stoke in early December. Tough ask for Villa you might think! There's an early injury to Willian after getting caught by big defender Nathan Baker.

1
Here we go then! Villa are wearing their traditional claret and blue kit while Chelsea are in their all-blue strip. The pitch is in slick condition while it has been a mild day in the Midlands.

Some of you Chelsea supporters are confident it's going to be a romp this tea-time. @StarmanSean Tweets: "I think it could be 4-1 to the Blues. Matic, Hazard and a Torres brace. Benteke to score for Villa."

1705
Jose Mourinho has just been interviewed and he thinks Villa are going to be tough to break down today. Interestingly enough, he has yet to beat the Midlanders at Villa Park as Blues boss! They seem to be a bit of a bogey team for him.

Toby Day says: "Hi. Chelsea to win 3-0 today with Torres, Hazard and Oscar to score! COME ON BLUES!!!"

Matt Avis reckons this will be a tight contest. "I think this will be closer than most think, but a Chelsea win will still be the outcome. 2-1."

Amar Cheema emails in to say: "I think Chelsea will be too strong for a Villa side who lack quality at home. I predict a 3-1 win for the Blues. Hazard with a brace."

@LuceMarty is rooting for a Villa win today. "Hi Raz. En route to Villa Park and feeling a Villa win today 1-0 with Benteke to score."

@robertgambles Tweets: "Not lost since 2009 - Jesus. Foregone."

@TheeZippie Tweets: "I'm going for a 0-4 to Chelsea, hope Ba starts because of these two late goals. Hazard (1) Ba (1) Matic(1) then Cahill (1)."

ASTON VILLA TEAM NEWS: Paul Lambert is without on-loan Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand. The 24-year-old's ineligibility has opened the door to young Joe Bennett in the only change to the side which thumped Norwich 4-1.

CHELSEA TEAM NEWS: Fernando Torres has been included in Chelsea's starting XI as his groin injury was not as bad as was first feared. Samuel Eto'o is not in the 18-man squad while Frank Lampard has to settle for a place on the bench alongside Andre Schurrle. Defenders David Luiz (groin) and Ashley Cole (knee) remain out.

Here come the teams...

1635
Meanwhile, Villa boss Paul Lambert insists there is no grudge between himself and Chelsea counterpart Jose Mourinho following their touchline spat earlier this season. "We had a laugh and a joke about it afterwards. It was nothing serious. There was nothing in that, people made a lot of it in the way they portrayed it. We had a laugh and a joke as you normally do in football. Nobody is there to be Mr Nice but it never transferred into any heated thing. I saw him after the game and it was totally fine. I'm pretty sure it will be the same this time." Send me your predictions ahead of the game Villa fans!

EARLY ASTON VILLA TEAM NEWS: The Villans will be without on-loan Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand. The 24-year-old's ineligibility opens the door to Joe Bennett or Antonio Luna, who are competing for his spot in Paul Lambert's XI. Lambert otherwise has the same squad to pick from as he did last time out against Norwich, with the likes of Jores Okore and Charles N'Zogbia on the long-term injury list.

EARLY CHELSEA TEAM NEWS: Fernando Torres could be included in Chelsea's squad as his groin injury was not as bad as was first feared. The striker withdrew from the starting XI following the warm-up prior to the 4-0 defeat of Tottenham, but could play at Villa Park or be saved for next Tuesday's Champions League contest with Galatasaray. "Fernando is much, much better," manager Jose Mourinho said. "Maybe I take him tomorrow. Maybe I don't take him and I try everything for Tuesday." Defenders David Luiz (groin) and Ashley Cole (knee) remain out.

1632
Chelsea could go nine points clear of second-placed Manchester City and 10 points clear of joint-third placed teams Arsenal and Liverpool, who play each other on Sunday with victory at Villa this team-time. "The team is motivated and the team is strong and the team has a good mentality and a good spirit, but not because of the table," Mourinho said. "They know the table is fake. What they also know is that every match we have to try to win, every match we have to try to improve. We have clear objectives for next season. If we can do it this season, we don't say no. We are very calm, we are very relaxed. I think that's important." What are your thoughts ahead of the game Blues fans? Send me your views.

Pulis To Liverpool Might Just Work

One Mailboxer believes that Tony Pulis managing Liverpool isn't as silly as you might think. Plus Bournemouth aren't that romantic and we're all guilty of ignoring Everton...

It's Not As Simple As Losing Luis Suarez...

That's the view of Liverpool fans in the mailbox as the Reds continue to struggle without their talisman. Suarez isn't doing particularly well at Barca either, it should be said...
