In addition to Hollis's double, Ronan Murray and Gary Liddle were also on the scoresheet while James Berrett pulled one back for the Cumbrians.

After an edgy opening, Hollis gave the hosts the lead on the half-hour when he turned in from close range after Murray's shot was saved.

Murray then made it 2-0 from Liddle's cross following some superb forward play by striker Jimmy Spencer.

Hollis helped himself to a second just after the break with a glorious header from Alan Sheehan's free-kick.

Berrett did give the visitors hope with a long-range strike which crept in off the post after Bartosz Bialkowski got a hand to it.

But Liddle saved the best for last with a stunning overhead kick from Mustapha Dumbuya's cross to seal the rout.

It could have got worse for the visitors as Nathan Tyson missed a glorious chance late on and while Shaun Derry's side stay bottom of the table, the victory ended their run of no win in their last six.
