Sammy Moore struck deep into the added time to deny the Cobblers who remained two points from safety.

Wimbeldon led on 14 minutes through George Francomb but Jack Midson saw red on 28 minutes and then Darren Carter converted from the spot.

When Carter added a second on 79 minutes Northampton appeared set for a much-needed win only for Moore to step in.
