Liam Grimshaw is not yet ready to make his Morecambe debut when they host Mansfield.

The on-loan Manchester United teenager signed for the Shrimps on a youth deal last week, but he suffered a knock with his parent club which will delay his debut for the League Two side.

Full-back Jordan Mustoe also signed for Morecambe on loan deadline day and he improved his fitness by playing 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.

None of the Shrimps' long-term injury concerns - Shaun Beeley (hamstring), Stewart Drummond (toe) and Andy Parrish (knee) - played in that contest, although the former is closing in on a comeback. Defender Chris McCready was forced off against Bristol Rovers last time out because of a thigh strain and looks set to miss out as a result.

Mansfield face mounting problems ahead of the trip to Morecambe.

Stags boss Paul Cox will be without a handful of players at the weekend due to injury and suspension.

Full-back James Jennings and midfielder Anthony Howell are banned having amassed 10 yellow cards apiece this season.

Ben Hutchinson is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring problem while Ross Dyer (broken nose) and Paul Black (calf) both suffered injuries in action for the reserve team against Rotherham on Monday.
