Villa fan Brian has been in touch and says: "Congrats to Blues. Reality is if we do not get a good result today and the last two matches we could be facing the Blues next season. I do not know where the goals are going to come from. Remember Long & Jelavic are cup tied so no pressure on them playing in the final. I hope we do not have to wait to the 90th minute like blues!"

John does not appear too optimistic about the visitors' chances and says: " S B playing his dreaded five in the middle, his only change is Bruce Junior is on bench and Figueroa is called up But neither have been up to the job this season nor has the 2 5 3 formation So I wait with baited breath to so if his five in the middle will work this week."

So can Villa escape? And what do City need to make sure they don't get dragged into things on the final day? Let me know your thoughts via Twitter - @sportswebed - or via email - chris.harvey@bskyb.com
