Real Madrid 3-4 Barcelona F/T

F/T
Barcelona win 4-3! What a game of football, it had everything! The bottom line is that Barca have closed the gap on Madrid and Atletico to just one point with nine games to play. Messi's hat-trick will grab the headlines, as well as Ramos' red card, and the controversial penalties... So much to discuss, stay with us for all reports and reaction. Goodnight!

90+3
Sanchez has the chance to add a fifth but a last-gasp block denies him. Surely that's it?

90+1
There will be three extra minutes. Barcelona looking comfortable

90
Morata replaces Modric as we head into added time

89
The Madrid fans are on their feet as Ronaldo breaks forward but Isco's return pass is poor and the move breaks down. Real are running out of time

88
It's all turning very scrappy now and Modric is cautioned for bundling Messi over

87
That man Messi has now scored 26 career hat-tricks. Not bad going!

86
Ronaldo is the latest player to make his way into the referee's book for raising his arm when challenging for a header with Mascherano

85
Isco replaces Di Maria as Madrid look for a late leveller

85
Alonso is booked for dissent in the aftermath of the goal. An unbelievable game of football!

84
4-3 BARCELONA! Messi completes his hat-trick with a superb penalty kick, curled into the top right-hand corner

83
PENALTY BARCELONA! Iniesta jinks into the box and is sandwiched in between Alonso and Carvajal. The referee has no hesitation pointing to the spot. The third penalty of the night coming up...

82
Another El Clasico stat: Ramos' red was the 13th red card in the last 14 matches between these sides

80
Madrid are sinking deeper and deeper and are struggling to get out of their own half. Can Barcelona nick a winner?

78
Some words of encouragement from Fabregas to his team-mates as he leaves the field and is replaced by Alexis Sanchez

77
Alves is finding acres of room down the right flank now and Pepe has to be on his guard to clear a dangerous low cross

76
Ronaldo is playing up front through the middle on his own and relieves some pressure by winning a soft free-kick off Mascherano

74
Post! Alves cracks the post with a thunderous right-footed drive from the edge of the box. Diego Lopez was completely beaten. So unlucky

72
Busquets powerfully meets Messi's corner but heads well over the top. Barca pressing...

70
A notable change in atmosphere inside the Bernabeu after that Ramos red card. It's the third time the Spaniard has seen red in El Clasicos. You'll have to watch and make your own mind up on how much contact there was but Neymar certainly didn't need much encouragement to go down

68
Neymar makes way for Pedro

68
What a crazy, crazy game of football this has been! Barcelona now big favourites to go on and win this with over 20 minutes left. Real still dangerous with Ronaldo and Bale on the pitch

66
Busquets picks up a yellow card

66
Ancelotti plugs the whole in defence by bringing on Varane in place of two-goal Benzema

65
Messi curls the penalty into the corner. Diego Lopez can't get near it. 3-3!

63
RED CARD RAMOS & PENALTY! More drama as Ramos is sent off for a professional foul on Neymar. Messi's throughball splits the defence, Neymar gets the wrong side of Ramos, who is adjudged to have brought the Brazilian down. Very minimal contact. Penalty coming up...

61
Neymar cuts inside onto his left foot but curls tamely at Diego Lopez. That could well be his last involvement with Pedro warming up on the sideline. Neymar has been quiet tonight

60
The corner is headed out to Iniesta who fires a ferocious left-footed shot just over the top. He caught that sweetly

60
Nothing comes of the Madrid corner and Barca go up the field and win one themselves...

58
Save! Ronaldo plays in Bale but the angle is against him... The $100m man gets his shot away but Valdes palms it behind for a corner. Nervy times for Barca

57
All the onus is now back on Barcelona to get back into this game. That should play nicely into Madrid's hands who are set-up well to counter

55
GOAL! Ronaldo fires the penalty home into the bottom left corner. Valdes went the right way but couldn't get near it. Controversy in Madrid, there usually is between these teams!

54
PENALTY MADRID! Ronaldo is tripped by Alves and there is no doubt it's a foul but the contact is just outside the box. The ref got that wrong...

52
Bale bursts into life, jinking in from the right and slipping in Benzema who just has Valdes to beat. The Barca keeper stands up tall, though, and beats the shot away. Benzema could have had six or seven tonight and that's no exaggeration!

49
Barcelona pressing early in this second half. Madrid may look to soak it up and hit them on the break through Bale, Ronaldo et al

47
Tonight's attendance is 85,454. It's fair to say they've all got their money's worth

46
Barcelona gets us back underway in Madrid. A reminder that a defeat for them here would leave them seven points adrift of Real with nine games to play

Predictions? Keep them coming to @SkySportsDrabs. I'm going 5-3 Madrid

Betting
Fancy a bet on the final score? Real Madrid 4-2 is 11/1, Barcelona 3-2 7/1. Neymar to score next 9/1, Benzema to score next 10/1. That Benzema price looks tasty...

H/T
The referee brings an end to a pulsating first half. Time for a lie down.

45
So close! Benzema heads just past the post on the stroke of half-time. Valdes was beaten and could only watch as the ball drifted wide

43
There was a fracas during the goal celebration and Pepe and Fabregas have both picked up yellow cards. Looked like handbags to me. This game has had a bit of everything so far, not much defending, mind

42
GOAL MESSI! 2-2! We're all level again! Messi links up with Neymar inside the box and fires a left-footed shot into the corner. That's his 32nd of the season and he's now the all-time leading goalscorer in El Clasicos! He has 19 in these snooze-fests...

41
Madrid comfortably clear. Neither of these two sides strike me as set-piece specialists...

40
Alba is causing a few problems down the left and wins the first corner of the game 40 minutes in...

37
Poor play from Fabregas, who finds himself in space near the by-line before carelessly dribbling the ball out of play. Jeers from the Madrid crowd

35
Di Maria is the first man into the referee's book for a cynical trip

34
End-to-end stuff here as first Alba and then Ronaldo burst into opposing boxes. The defences come out on top, for once, and both moves break down

32
Bale has been quiet in the early stages and takes a tumble when bearing down on goal. Some would call it a dive, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

30
Xavi takes it but the wall, at least five yards back, does its job

29
Time for everyone to catch their breath before Barcelona win a free-kick 30 yards out. Messi and Xavi are over it...

26
Off the line! Pique denies Benzema a first half hat-trick when he sticks out a leg to clear Benzema's shot off the line. What on earth is going on at the Bernabeu?! Di Maria is wreaking havoc down the left flank

25
Mascherano's defensive frailties have been exposed twice already by Benzema. He was out-jumped for the opening goal and he was completely taken out of the picture by that cut-back from Di Maria

GOAL BENZEMA!! 2-1 MADRID! A miraculous recovery from Di Maria who pulls the ball back for Benzema, who chests down and volleys past Valdes. Madrid hit the front!

22
A concern for Madrid in the celebrations as Di Maria hits the deck. Not entirely sure what happened but he has returned to the fray after some treatment. What a game we have on our hands tonight

GOAL BENZEMA! 1-1! Di Maria, the best player on the pitch so far, whips in a cross from the left, Benzema towers above Mascherano and heads powerfully past Valdes, who did get a palm on it, but couldn't keep it out. We're all square!

19
Messi plays in Neymar but Marcelo just gets back in time to put the striker off before he can get a shot away. Barcelona look like scoring every time they go forward!

18
Barcelona take the sting out of the game with some controlled possession in midfield. Neymar then jinks into the box but is well tackled and Madrid break... Ronaldo strikes from range but his shot lacks pace and is safely gathered by Valdes

15
Miss! Messi this time fluffs his lines! He beats the offside trap, clean through, the Bernabeu holds its breath... but Messi curls his shot wide of the right-hand post. Such an open game here

13
Bad miss! Benzema misses a gilt-edge chance to level the match! Di Maria skips down the left, pulls the ball back on a plate for Benzema, but the Madrid No 9 leans back and strikes high over the bar from eight yards out. Horrible miss

12
Bale spreads his legs for the first time tonight, bursting through the middle of the pitch and laying the ball off to Benzema, who strikes tamely at Valdes

11
Fabregas appears to have been given a free role tonight. He's popping up just behind Messi and causing problems for Madrid's centre halves. The visitors continue to dominate the early possession

9
That really was a superb finish. It clipped the underside of the bar before crashing into the net. Just the start to the game the neutral wanted...

7
GOAL INIESTA!! - Messi slips in the Spaniard in the inside left channel and Iniesta drills his left foot finish into the roof of the net. Clinical. It's his 50th career goal. What a start for Barca!

6
Madrid bay for a penalty after Ronaldo goes down in the box. It was clever defending from Alves, though , who simply stood his ground. Referee waves away appeals

5
A frenetic start here and Benzema suddenly finds himself in space inside the box. He scuffs his left-foot shot wide of the post, though.Poor effort from the Frenchman

4
Whistles from the crowd after Ronaldo goes down just outside the box. Iniesta clearly won the ball though and in the blink of an eye Neymar is away... He gets goalside but his shot is straight at Diego Lopez. Big early chance for the Brazilian

3
A heavy early touch for Bale, playing in his first home El Clasico, and he loses possession. Xavi directing traffic in the middle of the park but Ramos starts a counter-attack...

1
Madrid immediately on the front foot with Ronaldo and Benzema linking up down the left. Ronaldo's cross is low and weak and Barca clear the danger

A moving tribute to former Spain prime minister Adolfo Suarez is played out on the big screen before play following his recent death and we are now ready to go

Here we go...
The Bernabeu is a picture, a sea of white. Time for the talking to stop of the world's best to take over. Sit back and enjoy...

Betting
If you share Jack's goalfest view then you may be interested in another price boost from Sky Bet. It's 3/1 (from 11/4) for Ronaldo and Messi to BOTH score or 40/1 for Ronaldo, Messi, Bale and Neymar ALL to score

@jackstacey99 (Jack Stacey): "Both teams will attack tonight and there will be goals galore. 4-4!" - I hope so Jack

Not many Barcelona backers tonight... Where are you all?!

Ashley has a scorecast on the go to keep him interested tonight: "Bale first and Madrid 3-1 for me. 66/1 with Sky Bet so I'll have a cheeky few quid on it."

No Pedro
Former Real Madrid (and Blackburn) star Michel Salgado is also baffled as to why Pedro has been left out tonight. Our man on the touchline Guillem Balague believes the league-situation has played a big part in Barcelona's team selection. He says Neymar is a match-winner

Aaron Anderson adds: "Fancying Real Madrid tonight. Ancelotti has really shored up their defence and they will always create chances with their front three. Barca not the same side; defensively poor with no width going forward. Really surprised that Pedro is not playing for that reason as opposed to Neymar. If Alba or Alves push on Bale or CR7 will exploit the space on counters. 3-1. Hala Madrid!

A reminder that Atletico Madrid currently lead the way at the top following their 2-0 win at rock-bottom Betis earlier today. Both Madrid sides have 70 points but Atletico have a better head-to-head with Real after winning 1-0 at the Bernabeu earlier this season and drawing the return match on their home patch

@a7xbenji (Ben Walsh) is also backing Madrid. He says: "I can only see a Madrid win. 3-0 Ronaldo to get a brace and Bale getting the other!"

19:30
Chris Green from happy Huddersfield has been straight in touch and bullishly predicts a 4-1 win for the men in white - Modric, Bale and Ronaldo (2) scoring the goals

Betting
Fancy a flutter on tonight's game? Sky Bet have priced Real Madrid up at 11/10 for victory, Barcelona are 23/10 and the draw is 12/5. Our good friends, despite taking a battering this weekend, have also priceboosted Bale to 7/1 for the first goal. I'll be having a couple of pounds on that given the form the flying Welshman is in at the moment

Goals galore
Both teams have scored in the last 14 El Clasicos - stretching back to April 2011! Seen as this is the first one i've covered, it will inevitably end goalless! It's hard to see that happening with all the attacking talent on show, though. That Madrid attacking five is scary

It's not quite must-win tonight for Barcelona but you'd say it's 'must not lose'. They trail their fierce rivals (and Atletico) by four points and with only nine games remaining after tonight, it would be a big ask for the Catalan giants to go on and lift the title after a defeat in the Bernabeu

'The BBC': Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo line-up once again for Madrid. Those three have combined to score 76 of Madrid's 119 goals this season. The Barcelona defence will have their work cut out to stop them adding to that tally tonight

Teams
Barcelona: Valdes; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Xavi, Fabregas, Neymar, Iniesta, Messi. Subs: Pinto, Pedro, Alexis, Adriano, Sergi Roberto, Bartra and Song.

19:00
Real Madrid: Diego Lopez; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Alonso, Modric; Di Maria, Bale, Benzema, Cristiano.
Subs: Casillas, Varane, Coentrao, Nacho, Morata, Isco, Illarra.

18:30
Hello and welcome to text commentary of tonight's El Clasico! We've had goals aplenty in the Barclays Premier League this weekend. Let's hope they continue tonight in Spain. Team news to come...
