The match is over. Liverpool have beaten Sunderland 3-1. Suarez and Sturridge will get the headlines but the hosts can at least point to an improved display.

We have a late break in play as Sturridge goes down with cramp. He returns to his feet and the match will be over very soon.

Johnson fires a wild effort high over the bar as time gets very close to running out for Sunderland.

Sunderland look to push forward but they are now 3-1 down and hopes of a comeback are gone.

GOAL SUAREZ! Liverpool break at speed. Sturridge finds himself in space and knocks the ball across the six-yard box for Suarez to score his second goal of the afternoon.
