McGivern has fallen short in his race to recover from a knee injury while Cairney picked up a knock in training on Wednesday.

Winger Alex Harris is fit after being restricted to 13 minutes in the 2-0 opening leg defeat in Sweden because of a thigh problem but Tim Clancy (groin) remains on the sidelines.

Hibs manager Pat Fenlon is hoping the club can provide a fitting tribute to Lawrie Reilly against their Swedish opponents; there will be a minute's applause before kick-off to mark the passing of the club legend, who died earlier this week.

"It's been a very sad and difficult week for everyone associated with the club. Lawrie Reilly was obviously one of the best players the club has ever had," said Fenlon.

"If you're looking for a true Hibs man through and through, he fits the bill.

"It would be a nice way to pay real tribute to his memory if we can go and win the game. It would be lovely to put a smile back on people's faces.

"We're hoping we can do it justice. We've got a tough task but we are playing at home and we're looking forward to a big crowd getting behind us here.

"If we can nick the first goal, let's see what happens."

Hibs (provisional squad): Williams, Mullen, McPake, Hanlon, Forster, Stevenson, Thomson, Craig, Tudur Jones, Taiwo, Harris, Robertson, Vine, Caldwell, Handling, Stanton, Horribine, Murdoch.
