Sky Blues captain Carl Baker faces a late fitness test ahead of this weekend's game.

The midfielder has sustained a calf strain this week and faces a race against time to line up against the Bees as the Coventry aim to get back to winning ways.

Billy Daniels remains sidelined with the hip injury which saw him miss last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Port Vale.

But fellow midfielder Adam Barton should again take his place on the bench as he continues to manage his knee problem.

Brentford will check on George Saville ahead of Sunday's clash with Coventry.

The on-loan Chelsea midfielder missed Monday night's derby defeat by Leyton Orient with a hip injury.

Jake Bidwell is back in training after an ankle injury but probably needs a reserve game so Tony Craig stays at left-back, while midfielder Jonathan Douglas is also close to a return after knee surgery.

Richard Lee continues in goal as David Button completes a three-match ban for his red card at Bradford.
