Martinez also confirmed summer signing Antolin Alcaraz is due to be back in training this week and should be fully fit after the international break.

Stevenage boss Graham Westley could name an unchanged side for the match.

Boro collected their first win of the League One season, having lost their previous three matches, by beating Notts County on Saturday.

Westley handed first starts of the campaign to full-backs David Gray and Roarie Deacon and they should keep their places with Darius Charles, usually a defender, continuing in attack.

Winger Lucas Akins is still out with an ankle injury and the trip will probably come too soon for defender Ben Chorley, who has yet to feature this term due to a groin problem.
