Whistle goes and Man City have begun their Champions League campaign in fine style.

Almost a consolation goal for Plzen but Horava hits the post.

Two minutes of added time.

Plzen looking for a goal still and win a corner. Horvath takes but Zabaleta clears.

Great chance for Aguero as Negredo squares ball across box but the Argentine just gets underneath it.

Good save from Kozacik after lovely break from Aguero as he created chance for himself before going for goal.

Kompany does well as Nastasic pass back almost sells his captain short and the Belgian does well to not concede a corner.

Final change for City sees Negredo on for Dzeko.

Plzen still pushing forward and Horvath goes for goal, but it is well over.

Toure is replaced by Javi Garcia.

Plzen win corner, which Horvath will take, City clear and it comes back for Rajtoral - and his shot is deflected wide.

Milner breaks he finds Dzeko - he goes for the return but Hubnik does well to intercept.

Petrzela plays in Duris, he looks to cross it but can only find Hart.

Kolarov attacks down the left, his cross smashes into Aguero and drops just over the bar - the Argentine felt that one.

Two changes, Hejda is replaced by Hubnik whilst Milner is on for Navas.

Toure is the man who lines it up but he sends it over.

Menacing run from Nasri, wins free-kick about just outside the box - a number of City players fancy it. Kolarov, Aguero, Toure and Nasri all talking it over.

Petrzela takes ball down well 25-yards out, and goes for goal but sends it over.

Hart claims Horvath cross, he looks for quick long-ball to Navas who could be clear - but Hejda does well to cover.

Duris replaces Kolar.

Chance for Navas but straight at Kozacik and it comes back off the City man.

Nice play from Kolar, he cuts back and looks for cross into the box but Nastasic heads clear.

GOAL - Sergio Aguero - Finally Aguero gets the goal he deserves, he turns just inside the box and fires into the corner.

Aguero is in and fires straight at Kozacik. Plzen scramble it away for a corner. Nasri takes but the home side clear their lines.

Plzen still trying and Horvath curls it over after Petrzela lays it off to him.

GOAL - Yaya Toure - What a goal from the Ivorian he curls the ball home from 25-yards - game over surely now.

Horvath still at the heart of everything Plzen do, he looks for run of Bakos but Nastasic does well. Plzen still have the ball and Rajotral pulls it back for Kovarik but he somehow fires ball at Kompany with the goal at his mercy - could easily have been 1-1.

Dzeko fires over with only the keeper to beat - he could and should have had a hat-trick tonight.

Dzeko fires over after Aguero lays it off after good work from Toure.

Prochazka hacks clear after another good run from Nasri looked for Aguero.

GOAL - Edin Dzeko - Great break from City as Aguero holds off challenge from Hejda and the Argentine squares for Dzeko to side-foot it beyond Kozacik.

City pressing early on, Nasri with a nice ball in looking for Dzeko but Plzen's defence do well and see it behind.

City get us underway, neither side has made a change at the break.

Petrzela makes a nice run and looks for run of Bakos, but pass is too strong and Hart is out to claim it.

Fernandinho feeds ball into Nasri on the edge of the box, he looks for one-two with Toure - but Plzen manage to clear. City look dangerous in the final third.

Limbersky is booked for diving after challenge from Kompany.

Kolar wins a free-kick off Zabaleta. Horvath takes and Hart has to punch clear, it comes for Rajtoral and his ball into the box comes for Horava - who tries an acrobatic shot, but it flys wide.

Nice play from Nasri, he plays in Aguero into the box - but Limbersky makes a fine covering challenge.

Good ball into City box from Petrzela, Kolar is looking for it but Kompany does well and sees out the danger.

Balls come for Horvath, he goes for goal some 30-yards out but it is comfortable for Hart to take.

Nasri, Navas and Toure combine well on the edge of the box, it is slipped into the box for Zabaleta - but his shot is blocked by Kovarik.

Wonderful run from Nasri, jinks his way past a couple of challenges, gets pass into Aguero but Plzen clear - unlucky for the Frenchman.

Kompany almost sells Hart short with a back pass and the England keeper does really well to slide in and clear ahead of Kolar.

Horvath puts the free-kick into the box looking for Prochazka but Zabaleta does well to head away.

Fernandinho brings down Petrzela from behind and is rightly booked.

Great run from Aguero, he brushes off a couple of challenges before firing at goal - he beats the keeper but it cannons back off the post. Kolarov is onto the rebound but fires straight at Kozacik.

Another City corner, and yes again through Navas - this time his cross-come-shot is deflected behind by Horava. Nasri takes but Limbersky heads clear.

Another good chance for Dzeko as he breaks into the box and he looks to pull it back for Aguero - but the pass is blocked by Hejda.

Great ball from Nasri for Kolarov, he finds Dzeko six-yards out but he heads straight at the keeper - City should be winning.

Another City corner is won through Navas on the right. Nasri again to take the out-swinger but this time it is straight for Horvath who breaks but he can't find Petrzela.

Horvath fires it into the box and Hart sees it late and does well to parry. The home side on top at the moment.

Petrzela is brought down on the edge of the box by Kolarov, Serb could easily have seen red for a second yellow.

Kompany brings it forward nicely, he looks for long ball to Dzeko but the Bosnian cannot keep it in.

Plzen take free-kick short as Horvath finds Limbersky, he plays a wonderful ball to the back post but Rajtoral is given offside - real danger there for City.

Handball given against Kolarov - and this time he is booked.

Kolarov pulls back Petrzela - again no card, only a foul.

Horvath looks for run of Petrzela down the right, but Kolarov puts it out for a throw. It comes back for Petrzela and he looks for Kovarik at back post but City see the ball out.

Dangerous ball from Petrzela finds run of Kolar - but flag is up. Home side very much in this game.

Bakos turns Nastastic, who brings him down - he does well to avoid a card.

Kompany brings down Kolar, which gives the home side another chance to put this into the box - Horvath takes short to Limbersky, he plays in Kovarik who crosses into the box and Kompany just about clears.

Navas working hard down the right and wins another corner off Limbersky. Nasri takes but Dzeko heads over from 12-yards.

Plzen temporarily down to ten-men as Hejda is off the field getting treatment.

Nasri takes, Dzeko flicks it on and Toure heads over from two-yards - sitter from the Ivorian.

Navas unleashes one from the edge of the box and Kozacik has to tip it over the bar.

Aguero and Dzeko look to play a one-two on the edge of the box but Rajtoral is back well to cover.

Long ball again from Horvath, Bakos is up well but flag is up for offside.

Good work from Navas down the right and looks for run of Nasri at near post but he can only prod it wide - half a chance for the Frenchman, but he was under pressure.

Free-kick to from Horvath goes into City's box but Kompany rises to head clear.

City enjoying early possession but Plzen break and long ball from Horvath looks for Bakos but Nastasic does well to clear.

With Radim Reznik injured for Plzen, Frantisek Rajtoral moves from midfield to right-back while Lukas Hejda comes in for Marian Cisovsky at centre-back.

This is the first time Plzen have staged Champions League football in their own stadium, as their previous campaign was at Stadion Eden - home of Slavia Prague.

Man City are boosted by the return of captain Vincent Kompany to their starting line-up. Gael Clichy and David Silva are only players missing for City form the likely first XI.
