Wigan have a great chance to get a fourth but amongst it all the final whistle goes and they claim their first ever European victory at home. Great performance by Wigan.

Powell off to a standing ovation. Dicko on.

GOAL! Powell again. Superb run and he drills it into the bottom corner. Maribor couldn't live with him.

What a save from Carson! Superb shot from Tavares that looked to be heading towards the top corner but the Wigan 'keeper palms over.

Gomez can't stop the ball from going out and Maribor press forward again.

Nervous few moments for the Wigan supporters. The referee blows for another Maribor free-kick. Gomez guilty this time.

Tavares drops deep and uses his experience to win a free-kick.

Great composure from McArthur. He deserves to be on the winning side tonight.

Excellent tracking by McClean and Wigan claim a free-kick.

Coyle barking orders at his team now. Can they hold on for a vital win? Powell goes down in the area but the referee waves the protests away.

Maribor who looked tired earlier seem to be full of running now. Tavares wins a free-kick.

Really tight game now. Wigan ran away with it in the first half. Maribor could still get something from this one.

Tavares then has a go from the edge of the box but Carson gets down well.

Cvijanovic finding space in between the lines now. Threatening to link up with Mendy.

Tavares with a bit of space on the edge of the area but Powell comes back and helps Wigan remove the danger. McClean gets involved instantly shortly afterwards but he has a heavy touch.

McManaman off McClean on.

Milec seeing plenty of it but he loses out and Powell breaks.

Both sides having a real go. Maribor looking to win the ball back far quicker than earlier in the match.

Handanovic was quick off his line when it looked like Gomez might get a chance.

McManaman receives the ball with his back to goal and Maribor feel they have a chance now.

Carson is receiving treatment after the goal and Wigan get the opportunity to regroup.

GOAL! Tavares with the strike but excellent power and build up play by Mendy.

You feel a third goal for Wigan won't be far away. McManaman drives at the Maribor defence and Beausejour can't finish.

Powell was at full stretch. Maribor got away with that one.

Beausejour with another great run and Powell slams the ball onto the post.

Watson can't control but Filipovic was fouling him.

Perch makes a run down the left but his delivery is knocked away for a throw.

Carson has it again, this time from Boyce. He was far quieter in the first half.

McManaman was a little too direct and concedes a free-kick.

Boyce tries to power his way through the centre of the pitch but Maribor clear. Direct approach worked well in the first period for Wigan.

Tavares closes Shotton down straight away and Wigan win a throw. Signs that Maribor are improving.

Watson looks like he has a knock and Carson will restart with a free-kick just outside his area.

McArthur does well in midfield to win play back and it's danger man Beausejour down the left.

Tavares plays a ball to the back post but there's no danger for Wigan.

Maribor get the second half off and running...

And that's it, the whistle goes for the break. Wigan will be delighted with the opening 45 minutes.

McManaman has a go at the Maribor defence again but he drags his shot just wide.

Offside flag is raised against McManaman. Meanwhile, at the other end, Mendy gets the better of Barnett but he doesn't have any real support.

Beausejour then gives away a free-kick near the touchline and Maribor get the opportunity to build again.

McManaman again with a strike at goal but it gets caught under his feet.

McManaman with a great run down the right and his drilled cross is too quick for Beausejour.

Powell then attempts a chip after another Maribor mistake but it's inches over.

Owen Coyle will be delighted with this and the supporters are certainly enjoying the performance.

GOAL! Beausejour with a superb cross and Watson heads in. Excellent move. Brave header.

Beausejour has been excellent so far this evening. Mendy at the other end turns well in the area but it's easy for Carson.

Watson's effort is weak like Gomez's earlier and Maribor have a goal kick.

Powell is hacked down on the edge of the area and Wigan have another free-kick in a good position.

Mendy with good strength but it's easy for Carson.

Shotton gives away a free-kick and Maribor patiently build from the back. Wigan will be happy so far.

McArthur fouls but Maribor waste the free-kick.

Milec gives the ball away down the left and McManaman breaks down the right for Wigan.

Shotton with a huge throw into the box and Maribor clear it, eventually. Beausejour is then flagged offside.

Powell wins another corner straight from kick-off.

GOAL! What a mistake from Handanovic. He attempts the punch clear but it goes backwards and Powell heads into the empty net.

Gomez strikes it but it hits the wall.

Boyce wins a free-kick on the edge of the area after a lovely touch by Powell.

Mertelj does well down the left and his cut back to Cvijanovic is deflected over. Mejac then has a go when the corner is cleared. Wide.

McArthur is everywhere and this time he wins Wigan another corner. Watson takes it short to McArthur but it goes high and wide. Entertaining so far.

Wigan play out of trouble again and Beausejour wins a throw.

Shotton then attempts to switch the ball to Beausejour but he hits it out of play.

Filipovic cuts inside but he doesn't have any support and wigan can clear.

McArthur with another late tackle. He'll have to be careful.

Watson trying to get Wigan moving forward exchanges passes with Boyce.

McManaman quickly closed down on the right. Maribor happy to press Wigan when they are in Wigan's half.

Mertelj and McArthur clash heads and we have a brief stoppage while the players receive treatment.

Shotton looking comfortable early on. Enjoying a start in his preferred position of centre half.

McArthur then has a go when the corner is headed away but it drifts wide.

Excellent awareness by Powell who capitalises on the defenders mistake but the 'keeper saves. Corner for Wigan.

McArthur fouls Mertelj who is wearing the number 70 shirt this evening.

Beausejour again down the left but Milec blocks his run.

Powell hasn't had a kick yet. Wigan happy to play out slowly from the back.

Wigan waste play though and Maribor build again through Bohar.

Maribor break through Tavares and the away side enjoy some possession.

Beausejour wins a free-kick for Wigan. Gomez delivers but it's cleared easily by Maribor. Good start by Wigan.

The Wigan fans have their band in full swing tonight. Quite an atmosphere.
