Newport boss Justin Edinburgh could shuffle his pack ahead of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Sky Bet League One side Peterborough.

Christian Jolley is in contention to return to the starting line up after being named as a substitute for Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Kidderminster.

Andy Sandell, who came off the bench in his side's last two outings, could make his first start since August following his return from a foot injury.

Forward Danny Crow is expected to lead the line against his former club in the absence of Chris Zebroski, who remains sidelined after suffering a large cartilage tear and a dislocated kneecap.

Peterborough, meanwhile, are boosted by the return of four players for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy semi-final tie at Newport.

Midfielders Jack Payne (illness), Kane Ferdinand (cup-tied) and Joe Newell (thigh) and striker Kyle Vassell (cup-tied) were all unavailable on Saturday as Posh cruised into the FA Cup third round with a 5-0 victory over League One rivals Tranmere at London Road.

Captain Tommy Rowe (knee), defenders Craig Alcock (calf) and Gabriel Zakuani (Achilles) and midfielder Danny Kearns (hip) missed out against Rovers and will remain on the sidelines on Tuesday night.

Newport have won their last seven matches at home while Peterborough have lost their last three away games.
