FT: West Brom 1 Liverpool 1

Thanks for joining us today, keep an eye out for a full match report and reaction from the two managers very shortly.

90+4
FT: It's all over at the Hawthorns and West Brom have held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw thanks to a second-half equaliser from Victor Anichebe, taking advantage of Kolo Toure's error to cancel out Daniel Sturridge's opener.

90+3
Dorrans looked to set Anichebe on his way on the counter attack but Mignolet was there to pick up his through ball and clear.

90+3
Dorrans' free-kick is wasteful and it floats harmlessly into the arms of Mignolet.

90+2
The Baggies have a free-kick in a decent position which Dorrans stands over after a foul by Skrtel who climbed all over Anichebe.

90+1
The chances may have dried up in these last few minutes but both teams look to be intent on winning this.

90
There'll be four added minutes so still plenty of time for someone to grab a winner here.

89
Raheem Stering is named Man of the Match for Liverpool after another impressive showing on the wing.

87
West Brom look to mount an attack but Dorrans' ball is too heavy for Jones before Anichebe is bundled over and Liverpool clear for the time-being.

86
There's a break in play as Billy Jones goes down in the area with what looks to be a twisted ankle. West Brom will have to defend this Gerrard free-kick with 10 men.

85
Diego Lugano is the latest to go into the book after blocking off Sturridge.

84
Allen's ball looking for Sturridge is too heavy and Foster comes off his line to collect. Wasteful from Liverpool.

83
Sterling is forced to defend as he tackles Brunt out wide and concedes a corner.

82
Mulumbu then goes into the book after tugging back Sterling.

81
Gerrard gets his name taken for the foul on McAuley.

80
Mulumbu is crowded out as he looked for an opening in the box before Gerrard gives away a free-kick for a late challenge on McAuley. Brunt to deliver.

79
Toure guides Gerrard's corner just over the bar with a towering header. Another good chance.

78
Sturridge is thwarted by Foster as the goalkeeper is quicker to the through ball and gets a strong block on it. Liverpool corner.

77
A Gerrard free-kick finds its way to Skrtel at the back post, he lays off Allen on the edge of the area before he drills the ball straight into the grateful arms of Foster.

76
Substitution for West Brom as Graham Dorrans replaces Matej Vydra.

75
Mulumbu drills a shot into the arms of Mignolet from outside of the box. West Brom are looking to more likely to steal this at the minute.

74
Double change for Liverpool as Joe Allen and Martin Kelly replace Philippe Coutinho and John Flanagan.

74
Suarez goes into the book after clipping Yacob with a late challenge. Free-kick for West Brom with a chance to get a ball into the area.

73
Liverpool do break with Coutinho, he finds Sterling down the right, only for his cross to be plucked out of the air by Foster.

72
This promises to be a pulsating final 20 minutes or so. West Brom are really going for this with the home fans right behind them but Liverpool are still a threat on the break.

71
Brunt finds Yacob unmarked at the back post, he heads towards goal but Cissokho is there to hook clear.

70
Free-kick to West Brom in a crossing position after Skrtel unfairly challenged with Anichebe for the header. Brunt to take.

69
Suarez tries to wriggle away from Lugano but Yacob muscles in and wins a free-kick inside his own penalty area.

68
Great finish from Anichebe who still had plenty to do, picking out the bottom corner, but that was inexcusable from Toure. He's had an absolute shocker there, carelessly gifting West Brom an equaliser with a ball across his own box.

67
GOAL! Victor Anichebe levels for West Brom, striking into the bottom corner after Kolo Toure's suicidal ball across goal. 1-1

66
Brunt drills a low effort around the wall and forces Mignolet to get down well to stop it and crucially hold onto the ball.

65
Free-kick to West Brom in a decent position after Toure clatters into Anichebe. Brunt is eyeing it up in a shooting position.

64
Victor Anichebe replaces Saido Berahino for West Brom in attack.

63
Berahino's cross is cut out by Skrtel, it drops kindly for Brunt who lashes way over the bar from outside of the area when he could have taken a touch.

62
Liam Ridgewell goes into the book after holding back Raheem Sterling by his shirt.

61
A West Brom attack breaks down as Brunt's touch is too heavy and it goes out of play.

59
Big chance for Liverpool to double their lead after some exquisite play from Suarez. He got the wrong side of Lugano, cheekily clipped it over McAuley's head before nonchalantly trying to guide it past Foster, only for the goalkeeper to block with his feet. "England's number one" rings around the Hawthorns.

58
An erratic strike from distance by Berahino flies high and wide of Mignolet's goal.

56
Cissokho sees his cross blocked as Liverpool look to catch out West Brom again before Henderson gives away a free-kick inside his own half for a late challenge on Gera.

55
These last few minutes have been frantic and there are certainly indications that West Brom have adopted a much more open and attack-minded approach after the break.

54
At the other end, Liverpool look to catch West Brom on the break but Coutinho's strike is blocked on the edge of the area.

53
Mignolet is then forced into action to push away McAuley's header with a fine one-handed save from the resulting corner. Great start to the second-half from West Brom.

52
Chance for West Brom as Flanagan does excellently well to block Brunt's effort following Mulumbu's delivery across goal. Corner for West Brom.

51
Flanagan challenges Vydra with a tough tackle which the West Brom fans want a free-kick for but nothing is given and Liverpool have a goalkick.

49
Brunt opts to go for goal, trying to find the far corner, but he gets it all wrong and fires well over the bar when in reality, getting a cross away would probably have been the better option.

48
West Brom work things well down the right and Gerrard brings down Gera who was looking to cut inside of him. Free-kick to West Brom on the edge of the area and a chance to get a cross into the box. Gerrard gets away without a booking much to the discontent of Mulumbu and Yacob.

47
Brunt then fires a ball across goal which goes out for a throw at the other side. Whether that was a cross or a shot is unclear but that was some way off.

46
West Brom look to build an early attack, the ball finds its way to Berahino on the edge of the area but he's crowded out and Liverpool clear.

45
Liverpool get the second-half underway at the Hawthorns. No changes for either side.

Well that was far from the most memorable of opening 45 minutes but Brendan Rodgers certainly won't be worrying about that with his side in the lead. As for the Baggies, they face a tough uphill battle to come from behind in the second-half and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the likes of Anichebe or Amalfitano introduced to pose more of a threat in attack as Berahino and Vydra have struggled to get into the game so far.

45+2
HT: The referee signals for half-time and Liverpool take a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Daniel Sturridge who converted a Luis Suarez cross from close range. 0-1.

45+2
The free-kick is played short and eventually comes to nothing. Seconds remain of this half.

45+1
Mulumbu hacks down Sturridge and Liverpool have a free-kick. Sturridge, Henderson and Suarez stand over it but it's probably too far out to go for goal.

45
There will be two minutes of stoppage time at the end of this first half.

44
The half is drawing to a close as the ball finds its way all the way back to Mignolet who is in no rush whatsoever.

42
Chance for West Brom as Gera fires just wide with Mignolet mid-flight. Decent effort from the Hungarian and that could give the Baggies the lift they needed.

41
Lugano had a bit of a shocker midweek against Aston Villa but it will be interesting to see how he fares against his international team-mate Suarez.

40
Diego Lugana comes on in place of the injured Jonas Olsson for West Brom.

40
There's a worrying sign for West Brom as Olsson goes to ground with an injury. Lugano is warming up and it looks as though he will replace him.

39
Cissokho strode forward but ultimately, his cross for Suarez was not quite accurate enough and West Brom were able to clear. Sturridge and Cissokho swapping roles for a moment there.

38
Sturridge is back covering in defence, he finds the ball on the edge of his own box and feeds Cissokho who looks to attack.

36
Coutinho fires just wide after shimmying away from Mulumbu following Henderson's pass.

35
Another West Brom move breaks down as Berahino's touch is too heavy and Gerrard intercepts. The young striker then gives away a free-kick, bringing down Sterling on the break.

34
Cissokho does well to get away from Jones down the left before his cross is not quite strong enough for Suarez in the area and Olsson shores things up with the clearance.

33
There's a moment of panic in the West Brom box as a corner sparks a bit of a goalmouth scramble. Suarez was there looking to stab it home but eventually Foster was able to gather.

31
West Brom have threatened to get things going on a number of occasions but their moves have broken down in the Liverpool half so far. Whether it's a lack of understanding or confidence remains to be seen but Vydra and Ridgewell aren't on the same wavelength as the striker's ball is too heavy for the overlapping full-back.

30
Back to the opening goal and there was calls for offside from the West Brom defence but replays have shown Sturridge to be just in line with Jones who was the last man. Looks to be the correct call to award the goal.

29
Berahino's pass is too heavy for Jones and Liverpool win the throw as the hosts looked to mount an attack.

28
West Brom have responded relatively well to that goal and Toure is forced to head clear after Flanagan had initially lost it.

26
There was only ever going to be one thing on Suarez' mind there but his effort was always curling away from goal and it evades the post by inches with Foster rooted to the spot.

25
Free-kick to Liverpool in a decent position, Suarez stands over it as he looks to shoot.

24
The game was in desperate need of livening up and there we have it as the SAS partnership strikes again. It started with Coutinho who fed Sterling, he held it up for Suarez whose measured ball across goal was only ever going to have one outcome with Sturridge on the end of it.

23
GOAL! Daniel Sturridge gives Liverpool the lead, guiding home Suarez' cross from close range after smart play from Sterling. 0-1.

21
Still not too much to shout about as Liverpool knock it about their defence before West Brom do the same after Mignolet's long ball goes all the way through to Foster.

20
Vydra is then unable to keep it in play on the opposite flank under pressure from Skrtel. It's definitely the hosts who are looking the more positive of the two so far.

19
West Brom attempt to mount an attack after Henderson is caught on the ball but Jones can't quite get there to keep it in play and his heavy touch sees it go out for a goalkick.

17
That's the closest we've come to seeing an opener but in truth it was some way off. Neither side have had a true sniff of goal.

16
The corner eventually finds its way to Mulumbu who drills an effort towards goal, Gerrard blocks before Brunt fires over on the rebound.

15
Jones draws a corner off Cissokho as he attempted to get a cross away. Decent football from the Baggies and Brunt has a chance to get a ball into the box.

14
Yacob goes into the book for his foul on Gerrard as he's already had a warning from the referee.

14
Yacob hacks down Gerrard inside the Liverpool half as they looked to break. Free-kick to Liverpool.

13
Suarez holds up the ball on the edge of the area before attempting to play in Coutinho. Mulumbu is there to intercept and the move breaks down. No real chances for either side so far.

12
Gerrard's pin-point pass finds the chest of Sturridge from inside his own half, but the striker is just caught out for offside when he would have been through.

11
Vydra can't quite meet Gera's cross and Skrtel gets a boot to it before Liverpool clear.

10
Not for the first time today, Mulumbu is effective in breaking up the play in the middle and out-muscling Coutinho.

9
Sterling is looking sharp for Liverpool in these early stages, he skips past two before Olsson comes in with a perfectly-timed sliding challenge to take the ball from him and avert the danger.

8
Gerrard's corner is too deep and it goes all the way out for a throw-in at the other side.

7
Suarez goes for goal but the wall stands firm to divert it behind for a corner which Gerrard will take from the left.

6
First attack for Liverpool and Suarez draws a foul from Yacob about 30 yards from goal. Chance to have a go here and Suarez has dusted himself down to take it.

5
Brendan Rodgers is scribbling away in his notepad. His side are yet to really get hold of the ball although they do have a free-kick on the half way line after Brunt clipped Sterling.

4
West Brom are awarded a free-kick inside the centre circle after Suarez' foot was raised when challenging with McAuley.

3
Skrtel is called into action to head away a cross towards which was looking for Vydra. Lively start from the hosts.

2
Bright start from the Baggies who have kept the ball well inside these opening two minutes. They're patiently building things as they prepare to mount an attack.

1
An early effort from Gera is blocked before his overhead kick is unable to find anyone inside the area and Cissokho can clear.

1
West Brom get us underway at the Hawthorns.

Right, the teams are out of the tunnel at the Hawthorns and kick-off is moments away. Both sides are playing in their traditional coloured home strips which seems a rarity these days.

Plenty of emails flying in and here's one from Phillip Wythe: "As an avid Liverpool fan, I am going for a 4-0 win to the pool with Coutinho, Sturridge, and Suarez x2 scoring." And a unique one from West Brom fan Colin Airdrie in Bangkok: "I would normally meander downtown to watch the game at a pub. Not sure how things might pan out after the disputed election, so I will take advantage of your offerings. This means the Baggies will win as I can't watch the game! COYB"

With just over 10 minutes to go until kick-off at the Hawthorns, you can still get in touch with your thoughts and score predictions. Either Tweet me: @ryanparrish1919 or drop me a line via email to ryan.parrish@bskyb.com.

Daniel Sturridge has found the net in 12 of his 15 Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season and the Reds have scored 37 first half goals this season, 10 more than West Brom have in total (27) in the Premier League in 2013-14 so far.

West Brom have won just three of their last 15 Barclays Premier League games at the Hawthorns (D6 L6). While Liverpool have only failed to score in one of their last 13 Barclays Premier League away games and have netted 33 in that run. However, the Reds have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 trips on the road and conceded 20 times in those matches.

On Twitter, Jordan Brown (@JBCena98) is feeling optimistic, saying: "2-1 Albion COYB." While Kieron Sly (@kieronsly1989) says: Can only see a convincing win for #LFC by a margin of at least 3 goals, too much attacking power for West Brom."

West Brom fan Laszlo Czako is following the commentary from Hungary and he says: "I am sure many of us Baggies fans would be content with a draw here. It all depends on how WBA's forward play will work. Boing-boing!" While Chris Green from Huddersfield is going for an away win: "Liverpool to win 6-1, with Coutinho, Gerrard, Suarez (2), Sturridge and Moses scoring the goals."

Liverpool have averaged 3.1 goals per game in their last 13 Premier League outings and the prolific strike partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge has 36 goals between them from a combined 33 league matches.

Another Liverpool fan has emailed in backing his side to win today. Niall Ryan says: "As a liverpool fan I enjoyed yesterday apart from the Everton result... Today will be tough i think so I'll go with a hard fought 2-1 pool win... This should be treated like a cup final because stiffer tests await. Massive chance to put some real daylight between us and our biggest rivals united and who knows maybe Monday night only a point off 3rd place Chelsea."

If you're fancying a flutter on this afternoon's action, our friends over at Sky Bet have it covered with a number of Price Boosts. Philippe Coutinho to score first and Liverpool to win 3¿]1 at 66/1 looks particularly tempting, although West Brom to win 2¿]1 at 18/1 could be a good bet for those backing the underdogs. A surprise home win is 9/2, the draw is 16/5 and three points for Liverpool is 8/13.

Eddy Burns (@LFC4LIFEEddy) on Twitter says: "I reckon Liverpool are going to thump The Baggies 4-0 with 2 from Suarez one from Sturridge and one from Gerrard."

Plenty of emails and Tweets coming in backing a Liverpool win today. Dave in Dorset has emailed to say: "Can't see anything but a red win here. Back four for LFC all out but the rest will be too strong for a struggling Albion. 3-1 to Liverpool. YNWA"

West Brom have won just three of their last 15 Premier League games at the Hawthorns, drawing six and losing six, although their recent record against Liverpool will give the Baggies' faithful some hope, having won four of the last six against the Reds.

Thanks to burnsyboy (@lewisburnsy) who has confidentlyTweeted: "I predict 3-0 Liverpool with the SAS getting on the scoresheet (Suarez x2, Sturridge x1)."

So Pepe Mel makes five changes from the side that fell to a midweek 4-3 defeat at Aston Villa as Jones, McAuley, Gera, Berahino and Vydra all come in. As expected for the visitors, Brendan Rodgers keeps the same 11 that stormed to a 4-0 Merseyside derby win over Everton on Tuesday night.

As always, you can get in touch with your thoughts and score predictions before, during and after the game. Feel free to either Tweet me: @ryanparrish1919 or drop me a line via email to ryan.parrish@bskyb.com and a selection of the best will be published.
