Spurs pushing for an equaliser but the Dnipro defence is standing strong.

SUBSTITUTION: Matheus comes off late on and is replaced by Kalinic.

Kane flicks the ball on from Eriksen's corner but Chadli is unable to poke the ball home at the back post. Huge chance for Spurs.

Paulinho hits the outside of the post after Dawson plays in a great ball from the back post.

Dnipro legs may start to feel a little heavy in these last few minutes with their next league game not unitl March due to the winter break.

SUBSTITUTION: Harry Kane comes on in place of Soldado who has had another bad night in front of goal.

Dnipro play a well worked corner that ends up at the feet of Konoplyanka at the edge of the box, but his great effort goes just over the bar.

Eriksen whips in a fantastic ball from a free kick and Paulinho is inches away from beating the keeper to the ball.

GOAL (Konoplyanka): A brilliant penalty from the Liverpool target as his shot clips the inside of the post on the way in.

Penalty for Dnipro. Matheus skips past Rose and Vertonghen who eventually brings him down in the box. The Spurs centre back gets booked for the challenge.

Konoplyanka shows a fantastic bit of skill to skip past Naughton but his cross is too deep for anyone in the box.

SUBSTITUTION: Dnipro make their first change as Giuliano is replaced by Politylo.

With just 15 minutes left it looks as if this one could be heading for a draw. Both teams have had a lot of chances but unable to convert them in to goals. Very open game.

Eriksen has the ball in the back of the net with his first touch after being played in by Danny Rose but the linesman has his flag up.

SUBSTITUTION: Sherwood makes his first change of the night by taking off Townsend and replacing him with Eriksen. Maybe one too many long range shots?

Konoplyanka plays a lovely ball over the top to Matheus but Friedel is just quick enough off his line to get to the ball first.

Townsend again takes a shot from long range and Tim Sherwood doesn't look happy with his winger. Another poor attempt.

This time its Giuliano who gets in behind the Spurs defence but he wastes a great opportuity by delaying his cross just that little bit too long.

Tottenham again playing neat football on the edge of the Dnipro box but unable to find that bit of quality to open up the defence.

Game has become a bit stretched now as both teams look to play counter attacking football.

Naughton plays in Paulinho down the right hand side and plays a beautiful ball across the goal but Saldado misses an open net at the back post from just a few yards out. Unbelievable miss.

Zozulya is booked for diving after Friedel comes rushing out but the Dnipro midfielder was looking for it after sticking out a leg.

HALF TIME: A rather uninspiring first 45 minutes in Ukraine as both sides rue missed chances.

There will be a minimum of one minute added time at the end of the first half.

Last ditch challenge from Danny Rose as he blocks off Zozulya who appeals for a free kick and a resulting red card. Nothing given by the referee.

Giuliano and Rotan link up well on the counter attach but after the Dnipro number 29 is urged to shoot by the crowd, he blasts his shot over the bar.

Boyko keeps hold of the ball way too long in his area and Soldado nearly gets lucky by charging him down. Luckily for the Dnipro keeper he is able to put in a last ditch sliding tackle.

Konoplyanka is starting to enjoy himself and showing us a few tricks and flicks on the left wing.

Long ball in to the Spurs box is cleared by Chadli and it drops at the feet of Kankava who balsts his volley well over the bar.

Townsend blasts the free kick well wide.

Just as I say that Soldado plays a lovely through ball to Paulinho who is taken down just outside the area. Referee only gives Strinic a yellow card but it could've been a lot worse for the left back.

Saldado has hardly had a kick in this match and is looking a bit rusty up front for Spurs.

Townsend and Paulinho link up well to set up Danny Rose but his shot is saved by Boyko.

Dawson and Vertonghen are looking uncomfortable at the moment as the Dnipro attack continue to cause problems.

Terrible dive from Matheus as he chases down a through ball but somehow escapes a yellow card.

Konoplyanka looking dangerous against Naughton at right back. No doubt Liverpool fans will be keeping an eye on the winger tonight.

Spurs go straight down the other end as Rose breaks free down the left and cuts the ball back to Chadli who skies his shot high and wide. Really should be hitting the target from there.

Dnipro looking a lot more dangerous now as Matheus hits a great strike from the edge of the area but the Spurs keeper is able to punch it away. Waring signs here to Tottenham.

Matheus misses a glorious opportunity to put Dnipro 1-0 after a long ball over the top leaves him one on one with Friedel but the keeper stays big and is able to make a good low save.

Spurs having a lot of the ball in the Dnipro half but are unable to break down their defence at minute.

Rose is in the wars at the minute as Zozulya is the latest man to take him down.

Dnipro give the ball back to Tottenham and Rose is able to return to the pitch.

Danny Rose looks to have a problem after a bad challenge from Rotan.

Tottenham frequently giving the ball away within their own half and causing their own problems at the minute.

Interesting to note that Dnipro haven't played a competitive match since December but have started well here.
