Sheffield United pair Jamie Murphy and John Brayford are injury doubts for the home game against Peterborough.

Winger Murphy (groin) and defender Brayford (calf) were both forced off in the first half when the Blades registered their seventh straight win in all competitions in Saturday's success at MK Dons.

Boss Nigel Clough could recall either Chris Porter or Billy Paynter to the starting line-up if Murphy fails to make it, while Ben Davies is on stand-by for Brayford.

Defender Harry Maguire (knee) remains doubtful after missing out at the weekend and midfielder Stephen McGinn is still struggling with a back problem.

On-loan defender Ben Nugent is a doubt for Peterborough's trip to Sheffield United as he struggles to overcome a hip injury sustained at the weekend.

Britt Assombalonga (leg gash) and Tommy Rowe (knock) also sustained injuries in the 1-0 defeat at Crawley but both players should be fit for the midweek clash.

Striker Kyle Vassell is still several weeks away from a return from a broken toe.

Posh remain on course for a play-off place despite their latest setback, although they will need to find consistency if they are to finish higher than the sixth spot they currently occupy.
