The former Hearts player suffered a dead leg in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Albion in the Scottish Cup and although he managed to play the full 90 minutes he was forced to sit out training on Tuesday.

Robbie Crawford or Arnold Peralta are on standby if Black is ruled out as Ally McCoist's side look to secure the victory that would guarantee promotion to the Scottish Championship.

Lewis Macleod again misses out with a virus and striker Kyle Hutton is not yet fit enough to be considered, despite making good progress after breaking his leg.

Chris Hegarty (ankle), Nicky Clark (foot) and Ross Perry are also making good progress after injury but, like Hutton, they will be put through their paces in the U20 side before being considered for the first team.
