"I think we would have been stronger with Januzaj and Hernandez starting. Just don't get Moyes' faith in Welbeck ahead of Hernandez, who would have put that chance away last week. Will be closer than people think so long as we don't get a horror start like in the Liverpool game. I think it will be 3-1 to Bayern though. PLEASE let me be wrong!" says Christopher Peddie.
Morgan Copes says: "I was really hoping to see Chicharito in the starting XI. 42 goals in 83 starts is incredible and given one chance he can score. If it's left late I would love to see just one more mazy run and goal from Giggsy to put United through to the semis! Then he'll surely break Raul's record!"
"I'm seeing too many disillusioned United fans talking about how if they perform the way they did last week they'll win. What they're forgetting is United played with 11 men behind the ball for almost 90 mins to keep Munich out yet they still scored. Munich no longer need to score to win, so United have to attack resulting in them being slaughtered. I can't see anything less than a 3-0 win for Munich, it's going to be a walk in the park for them," says Muhaimen Siddique.
Luke Jackson said: "Tough game to call tonight because if United turn up it could be very tight. I think Bayern will have too much at the Allianz and I'm predicting 3-1 with Mandzukic getting two and robben for Munich and a Rooney consolation for United. Being a United fan I hope we can replicate what Chelsea did two years ago."
Daniel Peasley says: "I've supported United since 1983 and I just hope they don't get embarrassed tonight as I think Utd needed a win in the 1st leg and that will cost them tonight. Saying that, if they try to play the Utd way a 4-4 draw would be fine by me as I don't think a cautious, sit back attitude will work as Bayern will not let Utd play defensively and get away with a 1st leg action replay."
Matthew Goodwin-Freeman says: "I honestly think United can win this! If we perform how we did at Old Trafford we can really push Bayern! I think cause we'll be on a high from our 4-0 win against Newcastle, I think everyone will be ready for this and having Rooney back will be brilliant for us! I think we can do this and get through to the semis!"
"Glad to see Fellaini not playing. Going to be a difficult game for MU but I'm hoping we get through," says Jheeva Subramanian.
"Looks all set for a 1-1 and extra-time for me, United need to exploit Bayern's frailty in midfield without Bastian and Javi Martinez, the Germans won't win the ball back as easily, which is why I expected Guardiola to start Lahm in midfield and Rafinha at right-back but I guess he's taking a massive gamble here," says Salaar Shamsi.
Adam Gillis says: "Tonight will either be tough or a simple training session for Bayern. United's only chance is if Bayern underestimate them like last week in the first leg."
Tyler in Kettering says: "Hoping to see United go for it tonight. Need a big performance from Fletcher and Carrick. Predicting a 1-0 win with Welbeck nicking a late winner."
Chris Green in Huddersfield says: "The chances of United getting through are very slim, but you can never rule out a shock in the Champions League. Prediction: Bayern Munich 2-0 Man Utd, with Kroos and Robben scoring the goals."
So, as you can see, Wayne Rooney has been named in Manchester United's starting XI. The England striker is said to have had a pain-killing injection in the toe, which he injured during the 1-1 first leg draw. Last night David Moyes insisted he was not risking Rooney's long-term fitness by starting the striker at the Allianz Arena. United make four changes from the first leg, with Chris Smalling replacing Rio Ferdinand at centre-back. Patrice Evra comes in for Alex Buttner, Shinji Kagawa replaces the injured Marouane Fellaini while Darren Fletcher starts ahead of Ryan Giggs in central midfield. Reigning European champions Bayern make three alterations, with Dante, Mario Mandzukic and Mario Gotze coming in for Rafinha, Javi Martinez and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Bayern Munich team: Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba, Muller, Kroos, Gotze, Robben, Mandzukic, Ribery. Subs: Raeder, Van Buyten, Rafinha, Pizarro, Weihrauch, Weiser, Hojbjerg.
