The attacking midfielder had to sit out the away leg of the 8-0 aggregate victory over Latvian minnows Daugava Riga in the first round after injuring his ankle in the first game.

However, he may be fit enough to return on Thursday night, although Clark Robertson will be absent again as he continues his rehabilitation following knee surgery.

Forward David Goodwillie has signed for the Dons on a one-year deal and he could make his debut against Groningen.
