Boro lost 1-0 at Cardiff last Saturday, their first reverse in nine Championship fixtures, and slipped to third place in the table as a result.
However, Mowbray is confident they can bounce back against lowly Bristol City on Saturday.
"Losing games is part and parcel of football, it's about how you react and bounce back and being determined to put it right in the next game," Mowbray told the club's official website.
"The weather hasn't been ideal for training, it's been a bit wet and blustery, but you can sense the team are ready to go again.
"We have to try to pick up where we left off at home. Bristol are a dangerous side, fighting for their lives and scrapping for points. We fully expect a very tough game."
