Lomas will be pleased to get one of the club's perceived easier home games to start his tenure.

Millwall's second home game is against Huddersfield, a match that Lomas will also consider to be eminently winnable, however, away trips to Ipswich and Brighton in August will provide stern tests.

December promises to be a testing month for the Londoners, with matches against Nottingham Forest, Wigan and Blackburn at the start of the month, whereas Boxing Day provides a trip to Watford.

Millwall open 2014 with a home fixture against Leicester.

A tough end to the season is demonstrated by tricky April fixtures when they face Nottingham Forest, Wigan, Watford, Middlesbrough and QPR.

Finally, the club book-end their season with home matches against promoted sides, with Bournemouth travelling to The Den on the final day.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
