Having scored late on to draw 2-2 with Queens Park Rangers last time out, Millwall repeated the trick at the Madejski Stadium.

They trailed 1-0 to Sean Morrison's early goal but, after Jimmy Abdou had been sent off, Liam Trotter equalised with a penalty in the 92nd minute.

"We wanted to back up that good draw with QPR," Lomas said. "We asked the lads if they could produce that same sort of performance away from home and they did.

"At 1-0 down, we still hung in there, took it to Reading and stayed in the game. When we show that spirit and play like that, we are a decent team. That is probably the best football that we've played this season. Liam was ice cool with his penalty, it was a great finish."

Reading had started encouragingly and went ahead in the ninth minute. Nicky Bailey clumsily fouled Chris Gunter and, from Jordan Obita's curling free-kick wide on the right, captain Morrison rose alone to nod in his first goal of the season.

Millwall responded intelligently, with Martyn Waghorn driving narrowly wide, but Reading could have increased their lead shortly before half time. Central defender Alex Pearce cleverly created space from a corner but Millwall keeper David Forde saved spectacularly from his fierce shot.

Reading went close to doubling their lead again early in the second half, when Adam Le Fondre's flick from an Obita cross struck a post and bounced back into Forde's hands. Danny Shittu thought he had equalised when he found the net at the far post after Paul Robinson had flicked on a Scott Malone free kick, but it was ruled out for offside.

Millwall's woes increased five minutes from time when midfielder Abdou was sent off for a second booking - a wild lunge on Jobi McAnuff. It was Millwall's fourth red card of the season.

"Jimmy dived in a bit," Lomas admitted. "I could understand why he was sent off."

But a spirited rally at the end earned Millwall a deserved draw. Scott McDonald was felled by Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici in the area and Trotter hammered the spot kick into the roof of the net.

Reading stretched their unbeaten run to eight matches and moved up to fifth place in the table but manager Nigel Adkins conceded that his team has to be more ruthless.

"We've talked about that," he said. "We have to be more ruthless but they're a young group of lads who are still learning. When we're on top, we have to capitalise on it.

"But Millwall worked very hard to justify that they should go away with something. You have to give them a lot of credit. We put ourselves in a position to take all three points but didn't take it. It was a penalty but we shouldn't really have put ourselves in a position where the referee had to make a decision."

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
