Former QPR and Crystal Palace boss Holloway this week took over from Steve Lomas, who was sacked on Boxing Day, and met the players for the first time on Tuesday.
Defender Robinson told the club website: "He's full of excitement and enthusiasm, and he spoke really well to us.
"The chairman and the board have done really well to appoint someone of his calibre because he comes with a track record of getting clubs promoted out of this division.
"The manager has always had his teams playing attractive football, and the players are looking forward to the challenge of working on that style of play over the coming weeks and months.
"Our first task is to begin picking up points quickly because we're desperate to move away from that relegation zone.
"The potential in this squad hasn't been realised so far this season, but you can see that the manager is excited about getting the best out of us. He believes there is a lot of quality amongst the players."
