The 21-year-old has had spells on loan with Torquay and Portsmouth this season, but manager Ian Holloway clearly feels he has a future at The Den.

Marquis told the club's official website: "My season really hasn't got going yet, although I got some game time and scored a few goals during my loan spells.

"The new gaffer has shown real faith in me since he arrived, and now with my injury niggles behind me I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

"It has really been exciting here since Ian Holloway came to the club, and the fact that he obviously believes in me is a real boost.

"I know I may have to wait for my chance to break into the team but I'm determined to keep working hard and grab the opportunity when it comes."
