The striker has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, including Sheffield United, and appeared to be waving goodbye at full-time.

Killie had looked set for victory thanks to goals from Borja Perez and Paul Heffernan, but Motherwell came storming back and quickfire strikes from Murphy and Henrik Ojamaa earned them a point.

"It looks like Jamie will be moving on, however, there is nothing cast in stone," said McCall.

"I have seen a lot of players leave clubs without the chance to say goodbye to the fans and if anyone deserved that chance then it's Jamie.

"He's been an absolutely fantastic player for us and I wanted him to give his thanks to the supporters and also get the chance for the supporters to thank him for his time here.

"At the moment he's probably playing as well as he ever has and he's been very loyal to the club - if he does go then he will go with our blessings.

"He will play against Celtic on Wednesday but if he goes I'm pleased he got the chance to say goodbye to the home fans."
