How did you get into supporting QPR?
Lee, our singer, has been a fan for ages, and he took me down a few years ago. I got sucked in by him talking about it all the time. He's got a few opinions has Lee, about music, football - everything really. I wouldn't change him though. I grew up around Reading, and funnily enough the first game I went to with my dad was Reading v QPR, but I lost interest for ages. Then when we formed the band, we live in each other's pockets, you know? So Lee got me back into it from there.

Must be a good time to be a QPR fan...
Yeah, really happy with how it's gone. We were in Toronto when promotion was confirmed, so we didn't really see it properly. We couldn't really celebrate properly because of the whole points deduction thing, but we were delighted when it came through that we wouldn't get any points taken off. Our producer, Stephen Street was asking us if we wanted to know right away...

What do you reckon your prospects are for next season?
I don't know. It's going to be really tough. The Premier League is a whole different kettle of fish, isn't it? There is talk of getting rid of Neil Warnock and bringing a more high-profile manager in, but I'd definitely keep him. He's the people's manager, you know? He's the right boss for us. It would be a shame if, having got us there, he wasn't allowed to have a shot at the Premier League again.

Which players should we look out for next season then?
Well Adel Taarabt is a given, but I like Jamie Mackie, Heidur Helguson. Shaun Derry's a great player as well - he's a real unsung hero, very solid. Paddy Kenny's had a blinding season as well.

It will be interesting to see how Taraabt does at a higher level...
Yeah, he can be a frustrating player. He can be pretty selfish and childish, and he was incredibly frustrating earlier on in the season, but I'd rather have someone like him who tried things, rather than someone who was more conservative. Better him than a hesitator.

Your album is due out soon. How's it sounding? Are you happy with it?
Yeah, really happy. We got it recorded really quickly - we finished the whole thing in half the time we had the studio booked for! We've got a pretty full-on schedule now - we've done a couple of tours, but this is out biggest headline tour so far. We've been away so much that we've reached the point where being at home feels weirder than being on the road.

As well as the tour, you're supporting Morrissey...
Yeah, that was incredible. We're all obviously massive fans of The Smiths, they really influenced our songs. I was asleep when we got the offer. Lee rang me at about seven in the morning. I thought he was winding me up.

Does Lee's...erm...'outspokenness' ever annoy the rest of the band?
No, not at all. We're all on the same wavelength, we're all pretty outspoken, but people always want to talk to the singer, so he does most of the interviews. He's smart - he doesn't just say these things for the sake of it. He believes it all. We all do.

Brother's new single 'Still Here' is out now, taken from their upcoming Stephen Street produced album 'Famous First Words'. Buy the single here.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
