The Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire was a bit of a nifty footballer in his youth and apparently once turned down a trial at Arsenal in order to concentrate on his music. Thankfully the decision paid off with the Manic Street Preachers staking their claim as one of the biggest rock bands of the past two decades, whilst Arsenal...well, the less said about that the better.
After 25 years, 10 albums and countless awards, on October 31st the Manics release NATIONAL TREASURES a 2-disc album chronicling all 38 singles from the band's career.
