Cheick Tiote: Has been sent off twice and booked 29 times for Newcastle

The Ivorian is serving a domestic ban after his red card, the second of his St James' Park career, in the Wear-Tyne derby but he will feature in Thursday's Europa League game with Bruges.

And ahead of the game in Belgium, Tiote, who has also collected 29 yellow cards while with Newcastle, knows he must clean up his act.

"I don't need the manager to talk to me about my disciplinary record," he said in the Northern Echo.

"I know that I have picked up too many yellow cards. I know that I have to be careful. But it is my style and I cannot change my style.

"I need to be a lot more careful over some of the bookings that I pick up. But I will not change my style of play. It will get better."
