Massadio Haidara: Would welcome the opportunity to test himself in the Premier L

Sky Sports revealed on Tuesday that Alan Pardew had turned his attention to the France U21 international.

It is not the first time Haidara has drawn admiring glances from England, with Aston Villa understood to have made a move last summer.

They were unsuccessful in their efforts to land the 20-year-old, but Newcastle hold plenty of appeal to the youngster and he would welcome the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.

Haidara told RMC: "Newcastle do appeal to me, but everyone has to agree.

"I would be very happy to play there. My preference is England. It is the league which attracts me the most and would suit my game the best.

"A move to Roma? They are a good team, so I would be happy to play there.

"I do not plan on leaving for the sake of it, though. I will leave if there is a good proposition for me and the club."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
