The afternoon mailbox has plenty more views on the fixture list. Plus, a sublime piece of skill from Emile Heskey, more cool 'ballers and dull football matches...

Anyone who thinks Taylor isn't good enough hasn't actually seen him play... though that could be due to the number of injuries he's had. Which makes this call up nicely ironic.

Rather he wasn't called up, frankly. Can't bring myself to care about England these days.

Well done Stevie Taylor. A first team premier league player who is at the top of his game at the minute and actually wants to play for his country. Best of luck to him. All the haters just need to chill out and accept that Stevie is a top defender and can do a job for England. Atleast given him a chance before slating him over the internet.

I must say, I'm neither English nor a Newcastle fan but I'm delighted Steven Taylor's gotten a call up. Well deserved and about time too. Now, if he can keep those injuries away who knows. Probably not going to hold down a starting spot but with experience can be regular squad member.
