The 24-year-old is without a club following his departure from Deportivo Vida in his homeland.

Peralta was part of the Honduran team that progressed to the quarter-finals at the London Olympics, and has played for his country 13 times.

"We still have not quite signed the papers to complete the transfer but I am hoping it will happen this week," said Peralta in the Daily Record.

Rangers have recently added Nicky Law, Jon Daly and Nicky Clarke to their ranks following the end of their Third Division-title winning campaign.

The club is currently under a transfer embargo, with their new players unable to appear in action until 1 September.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
