The title and relegation battles may be settled, but it is all still to play for in the fight to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are favourites to record a victory at Newcastle which will see them secure Champions League football next season, while Tottenham are odds-on to keep up the pressure by beating Sunderland.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is hopeful his side can see off Manchester United in their Champions League second leg but the Portuguese revealed he had no intention of celebrating when he scored against his footballing "family" on Wednesday night.
m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.

@mike, sturridge was the muppet in question not celebrating against Bolton. SWP didnt celebrate against Chelsea (though he did make 124 appearances apparently). I think if someone like Owen celebrated against United,or Bellion, ( i cant think of too many players united have bought then dumped a couple of years later ), or David Jones, I wouldnt mind too much. Ronaldo is a different case, it was right for him not to celebrate, just like it would be right if Kuyt didnt celebrate against pool, if Drogba didnt celebrate against chelsea etc

RedG, I think it depends on the player/club relationship. Ronaldo spent 6 years at Old Trafford, played with several of the players on the pitch, was an integral part of the team and is held in great esteem by the fans. United is where Ronaldo grew up as a player, arriving as a raw talent and leaving as the most expensive player in the world. The club is clearly still close to Ronaldo's heart and he describes Fergie as being like a father to him. That's a bit different to some muppet drawing attention to himself by not celebrating against some team he spent a few seasons at waming the bench and playing for the reserves or even some guy I heard about a couple of months ago not celebrating a goal against a team he spent time on loan at.

Anyone else sick of players not celebrating against former clubs? Its fine to have respect for the people of manchester but why not have some respect for the people of madrid and celebrate you goal for the club you play for? I was raging when Sturridge didn't celebrate scoring against Man C, even tho he was receiving chants from their supporters calling him a Greedy B**tard (Thats RICH coming from City fans). I would fully expect Crouch, Carroll, Owen, Cisse etc to celebrate a goal against us and if they didn't I'd be disappointed. It used to be that scoring against a former club was "something a player would love to do". Anyone elase annoyed by this? Just me then!!!
