Davide Santon: Urges club to sign players in January

Alan Pardew's side have struggled this campaign and are currently just two points above the relegation zone in 15th.

Santon is confident that Newcastle will improve in the second half of the season but hints that the squad needs to be reinforced.

"It's not my job to sign players but the people in charge know what we have to do," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"Anyone who comes in must help us finish the season as best we can. We have to think positive and keep a strong mentality."
