Stadio Olimpico: Tin Jedvaj makes move to Roma

The highly-rated 17-year-old attracted the interest of a number of sides, including Premier League duo Tottenham and Manchester City.

Spurs were thought to have won the race to sign the young Croatian when Dinamo confirmed at the start of this month that an agreement with a rival side had been reached.

However, that rival side turned out to be Roma, with the Italian outfit confirming Jedvaj has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico.

"AS Roma announce to have agreed with GNK Dinamo Zagreb a deal for the permanent acquisition of the player Tin Jedvaj for the sum of 5million euros," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The Croatian player has signed a three-year contract; it will expire on June 30, 2016."

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
