Esteban Granero: Insists that he wishes to remain at Loftus Road

Granero's move to Loftus Road was seen as something of a coup for QPR, but his presence in midfield has not stopped the club from sitting bottom of the Premier League.

Granero has made nineteen appearances in the league this season, and is exempt from much of the criticism labelled at other members of Rangers' squad with a series of impressive displays.

However, the haunting threat of relegation does not mean that the Spaniard will be looking to leave the club after being linked recently with a move to either Fiorentina or back to La Liga.

"I came here to spend four years here and that is still the case," Granero told the London Evening Standard.

"I'm not the kind of player who wants to leave when things are going wrong.

"I was able to leave in the January transfer window and I didn't even think about it."

QPR face Manchester United on Saturday, knowing that defeat could leave them ten points from safety with just eleven games left.
