Harry Redknapp: Looking to freshen up his Queens Park Rangers squad

An overhaul of an underperforming playing staff is expected at Loftus Road this summer, with QPR planning for life back in the Championship following relegation out of the Premier League.

Redknapp has been vocal in his desire to be entrusted with the task of turning the club's fortunes around, with changes required on and off the field.

It had been suggested that he was ready to walk away from his post if he was not given the guarantees he feels he needs to get the job done, but Gnanalingam insists everyone is pulling in the same direction and are ready to start the process of refreshing the squad.

He said: "We had a good and positive meeting. We're all very clear in terms of what we are trying to achieve and the strategy is in place to ensure we do things the right way.

"Harry has earmarked players he wants to add and we are pursuing a number of targets to give us the best possible chance next season."

Redknapp insists he is fully committed to QPR on the back of productive transfer talks and is looking to work alongside chief executive Philip Beard in an effort to get players in as quickly as possible.

He said: "I'm working with Philip and the owners to get deals over the line - we're all on the same page and want success."

aha, as a German supporting United I can only agree with your great insight in German football! No idea why, but I HATE Eintracht Braunschweig and please don't ever place a bet on Leverkusen, they mess up my ticket every time!
