Marlon King: Wanted in China

The Chinese giants have just lost Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka back to Europe, and they are looking to bolster their striking options.

The 32-year-old Jamaican international, who has 13 goals already this season, emerged as one of their top targets.

The Chinese transfer window does not close until the beginning of March, meaning they can still sign players from other countries - whose own domestic windows have shut.

However, Birmingham - who were listening to offers for all of their squad in January - have decided against letting King leave.
