Villas-Boas remains cautious

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas was not getting carried away by the 3-0 Europa League last 16 first leg win over Inter at a jubilant White Hart Lane.

archibald - spot on, the tracking back was particularly pleasing and not just Lennon but all the forward players. Need to keep that up on Sunday though as Liverpool will be a much tougher proposition and its another vital 3 points

Well said Archibald, Bale has on quite a few occasions been too indulgent when simplicity would probably do the trick. The other thing is the diving, if that challenge he invited was on the touchline Bale would have gone past Gargano with ease. These are 2 aspects to his game that really bother me. Its worrying that he's buying into the media hype as the finished article, cause he's absolutely not there yet.

A really good performance, full of movement, slick passing and endeavour: lost count how many times Lennon tackled back successfully and turned Inter around. We were excellent from back to front (although Defoe looked understandably short of match sharpness) and we should really have scored one or two more. Inter looked pretty tame though. Bale really needs to stop the theatrics - he is good enough and strong enough to ride such challenges and not lower himself to dabbling is this nonsense

As for our Gareth, whilst he has been unfairly booked in the past, let's be straight it was a dive and he shouldn't have done it. Luckily it has wiped his cards out and we should hopefully be able to progress without him.

Most pleasing aspect of last night was the all round performance, we've been winning yes but unconvincingly at times whereas I thought we were very strong all over last night. hopefully we've clicked into gear at the right time, although Inter were awful which helped.
